cities on all servers on all planets are at max most are ghost towns
i think its time we put a point to guild wars
destruction of city halls to free up planet space for new cities
destruction of guild halls to put a point to wars, so that once a guild hall is destroyed everyone is detagged
/sign!
Not true at all, to either point.
And actually destroying a guild hall and guild because of a guild war....Not A Good Idea.
Patience young padawan.
Soon all that stuff will be gone.
Pub 23 on TC has the house pack up option, it is the next step towards them packing up all the structures belonging to inactive players of 6 months or longer.
to those who are against my idea i ask you these few simple questions please answer
whats the point of guild wars then
whats the point of the death star, hoth battle, yavin4 battle, alderaan, in star wars there were WARS omg !!! what a concept?! and in those wars stuff got broken including houses and bases and even planets!!!! you did watch the movies right?
What are new players gonna do. The new expansions and promotions are to drawl new players in, cause lets face it WoW sucks and ppl come back to swg and will come to swg for the first time. Are you just going to tell them sorry you will never get to own your own city, you will never get to master politician cause im afraid to loose my city and all my hard work, i started playing @ beta you dont get a city cause your a new player sorry you suck go away. Are you really gonna say that to them?
What about crowded planets w/ dead cities where not even a single player lives there, what are you gonna do about that, how do we fix that, my idea proposes a way to keep that im check.....
waiting for your answer put on your thinking cap dont avoid the questions or flame me, lets hear your argument

1. If you want to talk guild wars, you'd probably have a better response over in the Player Association forum.
2. This isn't "Guild Wars", it's "Star Wars". It's not supposed to be about one guild fighting another, it's supposed to be about the Empire and the Rebellion.
3. Guilds and Player Cities can have a factional emphasis and factioned players, but the guild or city itself cannot be factioned. It's a subtle difference, but a very important one. Guilds and Cities are meant to be permanent structures and entities, not a base to be blown up.
4. New players can become residents of existing cities. Nothing prevents them from picking up Novice Politician and running for mayor. They may have to actually *gasp* politic to get votes, but that's the what a Politician is supposed to do, isn't it?
5. There are still opportunities on some servers to build new cities, despite your statement that there isn't. I know for a fact that Rori and Talus on Naritus are far from being capped. I would imagine many other servers are the same.
6. The structure purge will be removing buildings placed by accounts that have been cancelled more than 6 months. Many of these "ghost cities" will fall when this happens.
7. Just because you don't see someone in a particular city when you go there does not mean that it is an inactive city. We have many different time zones interacting here, and not all city activities take place in the actual city.
Should I go on or does that make things a bit clearer? ![]()
