Devs, Are we ever gonna get more storage in our houses ? If not , why ? If so, possibly when ?
Thanks

I like the idea of more storage. Maybe you can make it based on residence or skills.
For example:
- Give your primary residence a storage bonus of 100 so it can hold 250 items where any other small house that you own can only hold the normal 150.
- If you are a merchant, you can have an additionalstorage bonus for your structures
- If you are an artisan, say a weapon smith, you should be able to hold more weapon smithing components in your structures
Things like this might help. Anyway, that is my two cents.

Okay where's Pawlin?
At least a bone thrown at us. 75 storage per lot used. 200k stacks. Anything!

More storage for crafters would be great! I currently use the input hopper on my crafting stations (which hold 100 items each) but they add to the limit in my house just like putting items in a bookshelf... it would be nice if they acted like vendors and didn't add to your house storage. They could tie it to skills so it's not abused, for instance, artisans could get the storage bonus from a general crafting station, shipwrights could get it from both the general and the shipwright crafting station, etc. Resources for me take up the bulk of my storage.

I have two problems with the current item count cap on structures -- first, as a crafter (architect and shipwright -- both taking HUGE amount of resources), and second as the owner of a massive museum. On the crafting side, I have a medium Naboo for my shop (filled to the brim as a showroom),5 small Naboo's for the workshop/resource storage. On the museum side, I have 3 Naboo guild halls jam-packed, plus a medium Naboo, and a small round Naboo. Plus, three full bank SD boxes, and a resource storage vendor with over a billion units.
Okay, so I'm an extreme example of a pack rat, but the point still stands...if crafters are going to require such mass quanties of resources, and a plethora of new and cool loot is being added, something needs to be done to help us out. I get the fact that increasing the item count will also increase the drain on the database. Didn't fixing the vendor issues way back when solve much of that? Hypothetically, if a guild hall could hold 500 items, wouldn't that be partially, at least, balanced out by the number of people who would drop their storage vendors?
Whatever the case, increased item counts is a topic that ranks at the top of my list of things I'd like to see resolved. Yeah, combat has issues, no doubt, along with every single profession... I just don't see where, on a technical side, it would be to, say, double the item count. It's not like it would take as much coding as a loot revamp or combat upgrade....

If they want another money sink...I'd pay millions of credits just to buy more additional storage space via the bank...

I must agree that increased storage is a must. They keep addind more fluff, the new posters and decorations but we are constrained by current item limit. Also if they made it so resources stacked in quanties of more than 100k that would go a long way to help but that is just one way to help.

Additional thoughts on this are posted in almost every forum. The consensus seems to be that EVERYBODY wants more storage. I can understand the limitations of the database in this respect, as it would add significantly to the server load. One valid option that wasproposed elsewhere was to simply change the inventory status of furniture...either reducing or eliminating the items inventory rating, but only when placed in a house (so not in your vendor, or backpack or safety deposit). It kills me that as a Master Architect I cannot even justify decorating my own home because I need the inventory space for resources.

currently, alot of crafters use a vendor as thier storage unit. athough this is great for getting plenty of space to store things, its a COMPLEAT pain to have to organize it all in there and the fact you have to list and relist everything you use is just a nightmare. I def have to sign a big /agree for more space somewhere else that will alow quicker access to your looted parts/resources/subparts/craftingfood/personalitems and leave the limited space to extra nice stuff like decorations. Spending 90% of your crafting time organizing isnt fun

make 75 items per lot really 75 items per lot, not capped at 250
allow larger crates. crates of 100. WPU are in crates of 10s. waste of space.
allow larger stacks of resources. 1 million stacks max.
allow "looted" items with the same serial to be in stacks. this will save SO much space and save alot of time organizing them.
increase personal inventory to 100. there are items now in the game that has to be in your main inventory and you can not move it.

Guild halls in particular.
I have one of the guild/pa halls on my lots, as I am purely combat I don't need the lots for harvesters, but with the decorations inside to make the place look respectable (it is a public building after all) then I am left with barely enough spaces to store my armour and weapons, let alone any loot items I may want to keep.
250 items for 7 lots is a bit feeble, shouldn't it be upped to 525 spaces to bringg it in line with 75 items per lot?
Pretty please.

This would actually go a long way to reducing lag in player cities and in the World in general. If we had more storage, there would be no need to have a dozen storehouses. Each one of these barren homes has to load up everytime you go near them, then unload after you pass. LAG!
