Thread: Can I have a house in a ply/city on one planet and get a house in another ply/city on another planet
There was/is a glitch in the system where if you have a house in one player city and declare residence there THEN move to another player city, place a house and declare residence there it would show you as a citizen of both cities.
THIS IS UNINTENDED FUNCTIONALITY AND IS CONSIDERED AN EXPLOIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The intended functionality is that if you declare residence (i.e. citizenship) in one player city and then move to and declare residence (i.e citizenship) in another player city then you are ONLY a citizen of the last city you declared residence in. This is supposed to work whether you move to another city on the same planet or another planet entirely.
The City Halls sometimes do not update properly and retain your citizenship in the old city. This sometimes prevents you from showing as a citizen in the new city. In any even you should ALWAYS make sure to go to the city hall of the old player city and revoke your citizenship when you move.
This is to prevent abuse of the player city system where you wind up with a player city that has a handful of citizens that are active (say 15) but gains the rank of a Metropolis (80 + citizens)!!!! Exploit pure and simple.
There are existing Player cities that have a situation similar to this but it is not done intentionally. Far to many players leave the game and are inconsiderate of the player base they leave behind by not removing their Houses, revoking citizenship, and removing any Harvestors, factories etc. they have placed. This leaves a player city with an inactive citizen taking up space that an active citizen would like to have!!
I don't care if you "might come back in a couple months" if you are leaving the game for any length of time you should be required to pack up your stuff and make room for those that are gonna be playing. Period!!

How about an answer from a Dev or a Corespondent or a quote from either, before you start yelling exploit?......
it's an exploit.
p.s.: of course you can have multiple houses, but if you declare residence in more than one then you're using the effects of a bug to your advantage and is exploiting. you can avoid the bug by revoking your citizenship at one city before declaring in another.

I was the politician correspondent for a year and just retired in June, which makes me the longest serving politician correspondent thus far... hope that qualifies me to answer your question...

owned?
Owned? I think not.
Anyone can say "I was this" or "I was that"
I too am still waiting for someone with the proper credentials showing up in system, not their typing, to settle this. So stop trying to flame the board.
If you read around on these boards you'd see that Pappi was indeed the poli correspondent for a long time. And a dev is not going to answer your post on a board...sorry. Being friendly goes a long way.
