Thread: If /citywarn did this....

What about the jedi who are banning bounty hunters just to keep them from being able to hunt htem in that city?
This is a great example of a way to "grief the system".
Speaking of Jedi, when will balance be brought to the force. You devs are ffeding the jedi way too much rope.
Jedi can:
Place houses anywhere they hunt. (With the exception of certain planets)
Jump on friend vehicles for a quick getaway
And the db timer seems to benefit the jedi in particular.
Also, thank you for the double xp weekend. Now all of the 70k-120k padawans are 220k-229k knights. Thanks, the bounty hunter community appreciates it. /end sarcasm

How is that greifing the system. I take it that jedi is a member of that city. Woulnt we want to protect our jedi. Next hing ya know once a bh takes a mission on a jedi. Even if the jedi is in a house the bh or sould I say up to 5 BH will have entry into that house even if it is private. I mean we dont want to take away the content for the population now do we..

I won't comment on the rest since this is city housing forum. But some of your facts are wrong.

I haven't needed to try it in awhile, but does /cityban still work? I liked the idea of cutting off people from my city services (such as cloning, vehicle repair, or shuttle useage).
Also, would be nice if the city treasury got money from the usage of terminals and npc profession trainers.
Thanks,

Why do you fell like killing Jedi is your content. And that the jedi should have no rights. If you cant get them before they get away. That is your own fault. Killing a jedi that is worth 70k is like killing novice brawlers when you are a master. They would never be able to fight toe to toe. So when they run and get away you whine,/sarcasm on.

The TEF system doesn't matter if the jedi runs into the house before he/she can be attacked.
And about the banning thing, I understood it wrong. The way I heard it was that the person was kicked out of the city. period. My bad...
And to the poster above me, a 70k jedi is still a jedi. If I can kill it, I will.
(No longer continuing this conversation in the thread. What I wanted to know about banning, I now know.)

Yes, the current jedi bounty system is a PERFECT example of institutionalized, licensed griefing that does nothing but generate an inordinate amount of hate in this game.

Since it is Jedi doing it will you be leaving this one in?
Kurt, with all due respect you have no idea what you are talking about!
I'm they mayor of Mos Krayt. It's my job to protect its citizens. If a Bounty Hunter comes into my town and kills a citizen they are banned! It's against the rules of Mos Krayt to attack any citizen within town limits.
If this is not what you intended then what is /cityban for then?

*STUFF*
Using it brings a timer (let's say 2 minuts, far enought, with a big warning for the player that remains when he is inside the town) for the warned guy that becomes attackable by the milicia when he is inside the town. The TEF remains for 12 hours.... So do the warning when the warned personn enters the town.
I don't see any grieffing that could result.
That would give a sense to the militia and give power to the towns. If an intruder gets inside my town, i want to be able to kick him out.
You will say : what about BH that want to hunt jedis in their towns? I don't care : the BH is an intruder. If a militia member is here, he should be able to warn him that he is not welcomed and should chicken out or face the milicia.
You will say : what about milicia that will attack group members one by one? Warned people are warned : they get out by themseves or get kicked the hard way.
You will say : what about players that will keep /citywarn all personns to prevent them from getting access to some points? With speeders and shuttles all around, it's never an obligation to get INSIDE a player town.
You will say : what about PvP enabled players that are coming inside the town and get attacked by onleave or combattant militia? Let's just make /citywarn not working on PvP enabled players : if you want to attack a SF player, you have to be SF player. If the ennemy is SF, you can go and kick their a$$ getting SF yourself.
You will say : What about Combattant Ennemies that come to bust your own PvE base? You would be able to attack them... and defend your base... That shouldn't be protectable by players... Not a big deal since you only have to find an hour where the militia is not ready, that you could sneak around, and that no one can stop the countdown.
Solutions are simple to bring back citywarn as a usefull city feature.
I personnaly want it back.
-Citywarn/ban disabled if maximum area around a city is within POI limit.
-Citywarn/ban disabled against on-leave players
This way people can access POI, BH can hunt jedi, and non PVPers can access city content.
