I am still tring to figure out why the footprint needed to be adjusted. If a person can travel between the homes to me it makes no sense to adjust the area a house takes up. I would actualy like to see the ability to place houses closer togather on all planets (it will never happen). The whole footprint thing was a very bad fix. I agree that using houses as barriers is not fair to players but come on.. It fixes a problem for people exploiting a situation and punishes those who were not part of the problem at all. I sympathize
This is one example of why the footprint was changed.
There's no doubt that these houses should be prevented from creating walls, however the current fix for the footprint doesn't make much sense. It's incredibly large and uncentered. It would be nice to see the current fix re-evaluated and implemeted in a more established-city-friendly way.
Exploits = bad.
Cities = good.

Again wth does that have to do with my city, BAN THE EXPLOITERS not the rest of us.

FYI, that small house in the picture was actually placed against their will. Someone explain to me how making a stronghold out of medium houses is an exploit? It's been the site for loads of great battles.
Can trap people for one thing.

It was stated that the change was made to prevent players from being excluded from content. That picture in no way illustrates any loss of content. What it does depect is military strategy and design being used along with military bases. That picture offers zero reason for the change that was made.
Look at the Thalnax, Naboo link in my sig. Tell me:
a) How that excludes people from content or traps people
b) How you can justify telling us to adapt.
Quite frankly, you people have no idea what you're talking about, nor do you realize how hard it is to be a mayor of a metropolis.
We've been a city since 10 minutes after the patch went live, all houses were placed a week before the patch came with space only fora city hall. They have destroyed cities like ours and Riverbend, they can not expect adaptation of housing like they can combat.
Now is this being fixed or what?
