My city and I we have the same problem. The change of the footprintsize has completely ruined my Building plan for the city, and has cost me quite some nerves. At the moment I can hardly (if at all) integrate new medium houses in the city, something that the most citizens ofcourse want to do.

You can add the city of Landsend, Naboo (StarSider) to the list of plaintiffs :9

Crescent City, Dant (corbantis) has been growing. Well, at least on the side of the city where we used tatooine houses. The naboo side looks sad. We have people moving in that would help build that side of the city. Too bad I can't put any houses in.

I cannot believe (or maybe I can) that this issue has gone on this long.

It is such an easy fix....and yet not one word to even admit they screwed the pooch.

Our city planner is reluctantly designing based on the new footprint. In a metropolis already near capacity, this has meant even fewer places for new residents.

no no...those never work...they only hurt our fellow players (but i know you were onlykidding).

I've been making some additions to Riverbend lately based on the 'super duper improved footprints', but it's been a little headache. I can be over-obsessive about how and where the houses are placed..and these new footprint changes have narrowed down my options for creativity greatly. With the new house pack-ups coming, it only means that the inactive account roll-up is imminent....and i'm not completely looking forward to it as much as i was before since I can't simply replace the holes that are left.

We'll deal in the meantime, but it's muey muey important that we get some sort of response on the footprint issue.

I am a mayor of a level capped town that is pushing the boundaries of our city. The change to the naboo houses has extremly hurt my ability to place new houses in areas I had planed to build.Due to existing house footprints changing the areas sized and planed for furtue building now will not fit any building. This is completly unacceptable and must be changed. Ban the people and move the houses to 0,0 for the places exploiting this. Not punish all the mayor in all the galaxies for the actions a few beacause your too lasy to do the extra work to police your own rules.

I just spent about 5 hours to set one medium naboo style house, so it looks "ok"... gah being Mayor was fun not so long ago, even though we didn't have the right to do anything in our towns, but now... it is just frustrating.

If they can't drop the footprint down to 4x4 or backout the new footprint change, then develop the code for instanced apartments and only allow houses to exist in player cities.

It's already developed in EQ2 - they might as well just copy the code for housing... Heck, they've copied enough code already...

We're at 180 citizens now, and we have used up the entire metropolis area without the new medium house footprint. I've had to halt ALL house placement until this change is reverted.

The change did nothing but hurt hardworking mayors, perhaps one or two griefers were stopped from making walls blocking content, but the rest of us suffer needlessly. Why don't you put CSRs after the griefers instead? Isn't that their job?

*sigh* I still highly disagree with this change although i feel like we may be wasting our breath at this point trying to get our voices heard. My city is currently at 123 citizens and since the change went live i had to halt all recruiting for new citizens which actually worries me now that the purge seems to be right around the corner Still i suppose we can hold onto the hope that just maybe the Devs will hear us and either revert back to the old footprint or downsize the current one to something that is more reasonable.

Im inclined to agree that it might be a wasted effort but I feel that its important to continue the fight nonetheless. Its not an objection to them changing the footprint, if they feel its such a pressing issue than it should be addressed. The problem is the length to which the "solution" goes. if only they would have not made the footprint so large then it might be something that we mayors could work with. As it now stands the medium naboo is one of the largest structure footprints in the game for a structure that is actually not particularly large itself. This is something that should at least be revisited once if only for that issue. The footprint now is such that makes it impossible for me to use even if there were no other structures around, being that I live in a hilly area of Dantooine. Give some leeway on the issue is all we ask.
