How many Electronics do you see in an outside setting?
Plenty
If you go to any NPC city, you will see tons of machinery outside, including crafting stations... and even ranger camps, like the ones on the Dantooine Outpost. They look different but look cool.

This game is pvp by consent. There are many mayors out there that want to be non combatants now you want to take an existing profession that many mayors are dedicated to and say "You are a pvp profession" Taking away their consent. You may like it but most won't
Lexx: I understand that there are mayors who wont want combat proffesions, but if you read the paragraph closely, you'd understand that militia members can help, as well as the person who placed the bounty on the mayor would be revealed if he lost. Then there is also the fact that many mayors wont have bountys on their head if they aren't corrupt. Maybe make it so the more times a mayor is placed on a bounty terminal, the money goes up? So the only mayors who get hunted are the ones who are hated by many people. Then you argue that what if militia isn't online? That may be a predicament, but let's think of ways to prevent mayors from being griefed. The minute a bounty hunter accepts a bounty on a mayor, the mayor should get a warning. I mean I'm pretty sure it's not that easy to find the mayor and kill him. Maybe make bounties for mayors lower depending on their combat skills? That way the only ones who get killed are the ones who have a better chance of defending themselves. Maybe make it so you can only kill mayors of the opposite faction. I'm up for ideas, but I'm pretty sure ideas like this would work. I dont see why they dont implement player bounties for any proffesion. I'm not one of those PvP guys, but I do feel it would give more excitement to the game, as well as a life as a mayor. I dont have many combat skills, but like I said, I wouldn't mind a bounty placed on my head. Thats just me, I don't want to speak for all the mayors.
Where would the money come from? If its the game wouldnt the politician missions take care of that? But again if teh citizens agree the mayor takes XXX money out once or twice a week..who cares. IRL taxes pay for politician salaries
Lexx: If they add the politician missions, consider my politician salary idea striken from the record.
Lexx: If you can kick guild members out of a guild, I dont see why a simply 24 hour warning with citizens would hurt. There are some citizens who cant be controlled, and city probation would be the only option.
I just dont see the need for it
Lexx: There is a need for it. Itwas stated: If citizens are distraught, you can use a city probation so that they won't make a mistake again, such as speaking innapropriately or just acting like an overall fool, then the only option would be this.
20-30% is not a small %. The politician forums have floated the idea that not reducing the payouts but the system gives a %. Point being if someone needs to earn XXX credits. Why would he come to your town to do it instead of using a NPC city. I guess you could nmake a profit by placing the city clsoe to a poi to get particular mission types. But thats not good either
Lexx: When I said small, I implied lower my original 20%-30% to maybe a 5%-10%. Many people get the idea that just because a city is next to a POI that it gets more traffic. I have to protest with that statement. But thats besides the point. I like the idea of the system giving a percent and not have the mission taker get less money for the mission... but wouldn't the mayor just maximize the percent because the mission takers dont feel a thing?
