Im kinda scared about this one... mayor moves house, all items disappear

honeslty i think it'd just be better for the mayor to have a CAD like interface to move the houses around within his radius. this allows him to stackup the inactive houses on the outskirts.
The way i see it, you declare citizenship, you allow the mayor to move your house around. There will be situations in which people will complain, but then the citizen could just pack up and move.

As a mayor I like the repossession idea in principle.
However, enacting it after only 7 days is too short. What about someone who's PC is down temporarily for a week or so. Just seems too short for me.
How about 1 month? That's much more reasonable without making it excessively long...

Also, what if a player left the game before transfering the structure? And currently a few active players keep it up and running and are on admin.
Maybe add in an option, where if the account becomes inactive the Admin's have a week or 2 to get someone to "accept" the structure as their own...someone who would need to have the X amount of lots open and is on the admin list. Essentially, a last transfer option done by the game and not the person (in case they never did transfer it, and went missing after!)

I posted a proposed solution to this dilemma in another thread.
Basically, SOE would have to come at this problem from an entirely different angle: add a Maintenance List to every structure, where the only right conferred is the right to enter the structure and use the terminal to view status and pay maintenance. Structure owners can add other players to this Maintenance List.
Generate reminder emails, complete with waypoint,to owner and people on the list when the maintenance pool drops to zero. Those people who have the foresight to add friends, neighbors, mayor etc to their structure's maintenance list will find that their structures survive a temporary absence. When all these peopledecide that the absent player is not going to come back, they ignore the reminder email, stop paying and the structure eventually gets deleted, emptying the lot for a new, active citizen.
