More atmosphere - awesome idea. I got something to add though, perhaps if the taxes are too low/high, or some other condition isn't met, roving bands of swoopers, soandso's minions, cannibals and whatnot will come through with alarming regularity (less-than-random spawns) and while this is good for some, if they stick around an area too long the buildings near 'em will get discolored, and have their maintenence costs increased slightly. Too long, and they'll start breaking into nearby houses - people will enter their homes to find furniture in the middle of the room, or all paintings moved to the ground.

Our town developed a 'bad side' of town w/o any special effort. Our town is shared w/ an all Wookie guild, and they all decided to go live in their own section of town we lovingly refer to as the Wook Ghetto. They have even gone so far as to have their own mission terminals, and med center over there.

It is considered the grungy part of town too because just outside city limits on that side is our 'industrial district' which is filled up with factories and harvesters (and all kinds of creature spawns in the middle)

Let me put a greasy spoon diner in my town with an overflowing trash can out front and a few newspapers blowing around.


(jsut to pick on Rodains put a drunk one of 2 lying in the gutter


I trying to figure out how to get dasrk alleys in my town.


Can't have quiet killings withoutsomeplace todispose of the body.
