Now there's a bad idea....giving the items in the someone's house to the mayor to auction. Being able to evict a dead house would be better. The mayor can move it either to a different part of the city or outside the city all together. But only once condemned for a certain amount of time.

A better option, at least in my opinion, would be for a condemned house to be redeeded or go poof and all the items in the house goes into a special container that cannot be added to. Once the player logs back in, they get an email that the houses are gone and their stuff is in this container and they'll have a couple of weeks to get the stuff out of the container. That way, it accomplished SOE's goal of letting people still have their stuff if they come back to the game, and it also frees up space in cities for a mayor to get an active player in.

LOL, actually , your idea is a better one , for SOE and the inactive player. But even so, we'll never see it. That would require SOE to care about and act upon this issue. Which they will do neither.

Here... let me rephrase. The DEVS could create a new "planet" that we "can't" travel to. We wont even see the option. They will just move the items to this planet and your problem is solved. The DEV's CAN move houses and such.
