Thread: ok ive got a squatter
Just /cityban the guy and he'll never be able to use your city's resources to his advantage.
Your city is imperial and you think he's rebel?
If he refuses to leave and negotiations have failed, just place covert faction scanners and minefields and/or turrets around his house.
Be careful not to physically prevent him from entering the house, just make it a pain to enter or leave his house alive.
Don't forget to register your city as Imperial
Next time dont react so aggressive.
I do think that SOE should respond to issues like this. This is just one reason why mayors should have the right to condem structures in their cities. I know lots of people cry foul. It will be abused. But how about having the process to condem a structure last like 2 or 3 months.
Try this on
A mayor can condem any structure in the city.
When this happens the structure is marked somehow as "Condemed by Mayor".
The owner will get an email on a regular basis telling them it is condemed by the Mayor.
Nomore maintaince can be added to the structure.
The structure will not take credits from the players bank account to keep standing.
If the structure has more credits in it then a 3 month supply then the rest of the credits will be transfered to the players bank account.
If the tax rate changes the building is immune to pay higher taxes as a way to make the 3 months shorter.
A Mayor can remove the "condemed" status from a structure.
This should give the person ample time to move the structure and sufficent notice to do so. Also it provides the owner the oppertunity to vote against the mayor a few timesand maybe get a mayor in that will remove the condemed status.
This way Mayor has some power to control their town and to clean up old structures as well so they can do some city planning.
