if im not mistaken there was something mentioned about this a WHILE back. before JTL came out. although we're now into our second expansion and theres nothing on this.
i agree though it would be nice. i kinda tire of seeing people sitting on beds with a
"ZZZzzz"

In the game Runescape you can click on a bed and sleep in it. it puts your character into a sort of AFK mode where nothing can interact or mess with you. The screen is all black with a bunch of Z's in different colors floating accross the screen and a code displayed which must be entered to 'wake up'

I like this idea, although can't see the benefits of it being added, simply because it would then kill off the need for entertainers other than from a RP PoV. Well going on basis of people tipping the entertainers (which I always do) who heal my BF. Think about it, why go to an Entertainer and fork out some cash regularly, when you can buy a bed instead for about 1k (or maybe us Archs would increase the charge of them if they added this function hehe).

But I agree with the sleep animation, surely it can't be that hard to programme it?

Give bed Radial option instead of sit have sleep, have it so it gets your character to lie on the bed, maybe to save time creating new animation, have it same as the one when you get incapped and have the character doing the /sleep emote or something.

Hey, there's ways to integrate entertainers into home regeneration of stats and other such things.

For example, entertainers get to burn holos that you can watch at home with some sort of player. This is a new article of furniture that does something. You sit in a chair or lie in a bed and watch, listen, or both.

Then, you need to get new holos, because you get bored with the old ones and they get ineffective if you use them too much. Depending on how good the entertainer is, and how good the recording is (fluorishes, etc.), the recording might have more usability. The coolest way to do this is to associate each toon with the serial number of each recording, and generate a boredom status for the "relationship" (appropriate geek joargon, actually). Unfortunately, the coolest way is also the most expensive way for a data base implementation, so it ain't going to happen.

To keep live entertainment from going away, recordings can never match live performances for inspirational ability.

I like the idea of being able to lie down on beds. It's just...natural. But then, as I mentioned before, I switch between playing SWG and Sims 2.

Beds hands down should be usuable..... There is no reason on earth why a persons ***Declared**** home should not with use of a bed be able to heal a players Battle fatigue. I do not know about you al, But I have been a soldier in real life. While on exersise a bar was great to unwind in, but nothing was better than getting some Z's in my own bed at home... Make it so.

They should definetly not heal BF. Just for the record. I was a Master Musician... we don't need to make Entertainers more worthless

As for lying down, I think it would be great, if nothing else than for RP (and what's wrong with that?). As for the idea, it's been around forever. Long, looooong before JTL. So don't expect it any time soon

Teh fact is there are hardly any players being Ents anymore as it is, so finding one is tough, so because people are not playing them as much the rest of us should walk around with 700 to 800 bf all the time? Forget it. I at least would like the choice of being able to heal BF in my declared home if nobody else was available around. I do not like being "forced" to wait for someone to get off there butt and log in to heal me.

Where are you looking? There are ents in every major city and outpost. Taking away functionality from professions is a bad trend in this game.

I agree with you and sympathize but that population of Ents is not on every server. There needs to be alternatives for players to utilize. Further not everyone is going to want to run to there declared home to heal bf. Ents are often closer but at least it is an option.
