WIth the vendor item limit changes included in publish 10, I wanted to get some hard numbers about how many items chefs stock.
This is not the place to rant/vent about the changes. There are plenty of threads around the board for that already.
- How many food items do you stock on vendors you placed yourself at each shop location. If you have a Merchant partner, this doesn't apply (since the skill point investment is handled by another player). If you have multiple vendors at a location, give the total number of items along with number of vendors. Try to give a fairly accurate estimate, within 10 or so.
- For the purposes of this poll, please only include food items (so don't count tissues if you also do BE, weapons if you also do weaponsmith, etc).
- What Merchant skills do you currently have?
- Note: while it isn't included in the patch notes, and I haven't seen a dev post about it, I am assuming that pub 10 will also include the check for whether or not you have the skills to support the number of vendors you have. Give the management skill you would need to support the number of vendors (or planned vendors) post-publish.
- (optional) How often do you restock and/or how many items do you sell off your vendors in a given week?
For me:
- Number of items:
- Location 1: 2 vendors, 120 items
- Location 2: 1 vendor, 60 items (I really should restock this...)
- Merchant 3-0-0-1
- I've got a few loyal customers, but I'm not really a "big name" chef on my server. I sell between 10 to 30 crates a week.

3. Dont sell too much. Restock only when i see im getting low on certain items. Move mini-crates and full crates at an ok pace. Anywhere from 5-10 a week.

- Number of items:
- Location 1:1 vendor,80 items (average)
- Location 2: 1 vendor,80 items (average)
- Location 1:1 vendor,80 items (average)
- Merchant 3-2-2-4
- I have quite a few loyal customers, but I'm smalltime on my server, lol
- sell between40 and60 full crates a week, plus a number of smaller crates (I only stock crates of 5,10 and 25, no single items).
- I havean averageof about85 sales a week.
- I watch my vendors closely, and restock every day, sometimes moving stock from one vendor to another to keep it stocked (and my second vendor is on a different planet)

Loc 1: 2 Vendors 80 items per week
Loc 2: 1 Vendor, 40 items, not selling much
Mastering merchant now, but planning on dropping it. Not gonna waste the points
I am a big name chef on my server and can easily sell 200+ crates a week if I put full time into it, as such I think I'll probably retire assuming this goes live. I don't want to spend the points necessary to get the space needed to support the quantities I sell.

For Tissier:
1. Number of items:
* Location 1: 50 items or so (i sell everything in crates, and I dont
sell all food)
2. Master Merchant
3. I'm not a big time chef. I sell probably 10 crates per week. Other times
I just stand in coronet and wait for people to buy from me direct.

1. Number of items:
- Location 1: 1 vendor, Over 200 items, average about 230, crates
- Location 2: 1 vendor, Over 300 items, however this is a single stack vendor.
2. Merchant 4/4/4/2
3. Many loyal customers, and I also run a high production business, I sell approximately100 to 300crates a week, and on my singles vendor I sell probably 200 items in a week.Hard to say, I dont track emails. I restock my "Location 1" vendor on average twice a day, and my vendor on dantooine about 2 times a week.

Number of Vendors:
-Location 1) 300+ food/drinks crates
- Location 2) 80+ food/drink crates (adding another 40 crates tomorrow)
- Location 3) 60+ food/drink crates (adding another 40 crates on Thursday)
No Merchant or Business skills left, but will re-assign points to business level 3 at best without going defenseless
The amount of restock depends on the amount of sales that week for me:
- Location 1, maybe 5+ a week, but the selection is huge as well as it's my main stock which i transfer food around to the other vendors when the other two run low.
- Location 2,i sold 10 out of 13 crates of BE Ahrisa within 5 minutes off a vendor a few days ago.
- Location 3, average crate sales is 10 a week, usually Bivoli with some in Canape, Brandy, Ahrisa, Synthasteaks
More than likely, i'll lose the Location 2 and 3 vendors. I'm thinkingnow to cater "special orders only" as a alternative or let people know where my home vendor (location 1) is. People like partial crates or full crates mainly from what i see from my sales/requests.

1)
Vendor 1(Non BE Food) ~200 crates
Vendor 2(BE Food) After major restocks ~600-700 crates. Varies greatly though. Rarely less than 300 though as that pretty much means I'm out of mind foods and bivoli and therefore sales drop down for a few days.
2) None currently, I had planned on going up to 300x though depending on the limits.
3) Whenever my factories are done, I don't have the room available for the crates in the hoppers so they go onto the vendor when they are done.So I usually am stocking at least something every day or 2. Sales are about200-300 crates a week.

Recently I've been overstocking, but average over the last couple months:
1. 150-200 items after stocking, single vendor
2. Master Merchant alt
3. Sell about 80-100 crates a week
Of the items on my vendor, about 50 are singles that sell reasonably fast but make up a small portion of my business and are easy to restock frequently. Another 50 are crates of items that sell very slowly. The remaining 50-100 are crates of brandy, canape, ahrisa, and bivoli that make up the bulk of my sales and need to be restocked at least a couple times a week to keep up.
