This is nota thread for balance issues. This is specifically meant for technical bugs, that shouldn't be the way they are. Our food buffs sucking is a balance issue. Uxp awarded is also sort of a balance issue(we do get uxp for pets eating food btw. I tested it, and am sure of it. No profession gets uxp for factory made stuff)

Personally, I believe the one fix that would help a LOT would be fixing factory stacks. This would stop us having to grind, and it would also allow guarranteeing a continuing series of higher quality products, which we could sell at a better price.

What do you guys think? Another one that definitely comes to mind is medium and large flora farms being unmakable...

1. Buff size and duration are tiny next to spices.

2. No eggs or milk.

3. Factories making one use items.

Fix these 3 things and I will do backflips.

Are you looking for the biggest bug, or the biggest issue.

If your looking for the biggest bug then the missing harvester schematic or the factory 2-4X cost per item issue would top the list.

If your looking for the biggest issue then the buff suckage is it. The others are a pain, but I can work around them.

I can't work around the poor buff ability of most of our food.

Lets not play around with the Devs and tell them our biggest problem is harvesters.

Our biggest problem is our product.

I am happy to turn in a bug list to them, but lets not give them the impression, thatbugs are our only issue.

anyways thats my 2 credits

The answer is obvious.

Increase the potency of our buffs and/or the duration of our buffs.

It's that simple. Right now, food simply isn't GOOD, it's not WORTH BUYING, it doesn't HAVE A PURPOSE. The rest of the factory/usage exp stuff definitely needs to be fixed at some point, but they don't provide a solution for the real overall problem: our food sucks.

I agree, our biggest issue is our actual product. It doesnt do anything spectacular enough to bea highly desirably luxury item, and can easily be outdone by spices despite the spices drawbacks, foraged foods, and enhance packs. Either raise the buffs and duration, or make it a necessary element of the game.

I don't think factories are on the top of the list because factories don't really apply to all chef's, I personally cant afford a factory.

I specifically said not balance issues... That's something that the correspondent should argue with the devs, and is obvious by itself. Everyone knows thats a problem.

Also, I see everyone talking about their foods sucking as they get novice chef, and I agree... But novice weaponsmith guns are also worse then CDEF's made by an artisan with Eng IV. This was obviously the devs intention(bad design in my opinion). One major difference is, a lot of weaponsmiths just get a couple of boxes in gun types(generally as soon as they can make scout blasters they stop) and then go up the experimentation ladder. Highly experimented chef foods arent bad. I can already make them with buffs of 100-200, and once I get cooking IV I can go back to getting more recipes, which will be much better when I get them. It's definitely not properly balanced yet, but it isn't as dramariffically bad as some would like to make it out(worse than dom IV. LOL).

I thinkit isdramatically bad. You keep forgetting that you have loads of cash and therefore have easy access to resources, factores, and harvesters, not to mention a semi-reliable market from your PA. You're an exception--I know most chefs aren't quite this affluent.

But for a Novice Chef, it's impossible. Everything is worthless. It's worse for chefs in general because even our Domestic Foods aren't that good, as opposed to Engineers who at least have a newb market to sell to. Therefore we're forced to grind to get Cooking II, or Mixology II, or the first "decent" skill box. It's kind of sad.

Yeah I make negative money as a chef, so the factory issue to me is definetly not important as it is even more specific than just being a chef in SWG. I also consider the profession so incredibly unbalanced that it actually is broken /bug. Other than that the issue of Milk and Eggs applies to far more of us as a whole than a factory does.

Thats true.

But that Weapon Smith can make the useful artisan CDEF's and Gain Weapon Crafting Exp ,, thus letting him make something useful at novice weaponsmith.

Novice Chef CAN NOT make Domestic Arts food and gain Cooking Experaince thus making him dish out completly useless items.

Back when I was a novice chef I would have made Starshine surprises over Wastil bread that first level any day of the week.. I could sell those 200c easy

Biggest issue is the product. Not enough effect for not nearly enough time, considering the resource cost. And the chef stuff not being dramatically better than artisan. Makes it pretty hard to sell. Second biggest issue I think is that food takes a lot of inventory space, which is at a premium.
