Hello everyone. I am a dancer and I just stopped in to say that there isa HUGE market available for anyone willing to RP a bartender! Everyone that comes in the cantinas sees those long empty bars and comments on how nice it would be to be able to buy drinks!

Another question: Can you equip a drink? Is there a visible drinking action?

The cantinas would also be a good spot to sell food/drinks above and beyond just an RP sense come to think of it. Everyone has to come to a cantina at some point, and you may as well catch them while they are just sitting around!

well i try to bartend... but i'm pretty low skilled so i'm limited in what i can make

i play in theed on naboo in flurry. when i'm done surveying/missions i usually go stand behind the bar at teh cantina. not much business. but it's still fun. =)

Ya, since the buffs are only temporary, drinking in the cantina would be a bad idea. However buying drinks in the cantina to take into battles might work out. If cooks stopepd putting thier food on the bazaar and sold it in the bar instead they could increase profit margin or sell at a lower price. I havent decided if I will become a cook or a weaponsmith (i am gonna go the route that has more demand). I havent seen a cook yet so that might be the right choice.

actually, just last night, my second night of bartending, i had quite a few customers. i'm not sure if ppl are realizing the usefulness of foods or just buying it for a rp purpose. i do admit that i charge an absurdly low amount for my food. anwhere from 1-1.5xresource cost. maybe taht's why. either way, i had fun, so it's a semi encouraging sign.

I've been standing behind a bar for the past several days shouting about my goods as well. I've been giving it away. It's going slow, but it's kinda fun.

Most seem uninterested, a couple people who keep coming back,and there are a couple that called food in general 'junk'. Fools!

Everything I've put on the bazaar has been bought. I just think it's gonna take a little time for people to figure out how useful food and drink can be.

I sit in the Cantina in Kor Vella and I've made over 3k selling food & drinks.

I've actually done pretty well as a bartender. It's a heck of a lot more gratifying than grinding out artisen xp making mine upgrade kits and you can make a few bucks at it too. Of course, selling clothes on the bazaar helps supplement my income greatly. So far I've tended bar in Korvella, Doaba Guerfel, Bestine, Mos Eisley, andMoenia. Each stint has been a couple hours and I try my best to give the entertainers free drinks and/or tip them out at the end of the night. Hope to serve you all some Teltier Noodles and Starshine Surprise sometime in the future!

I plan on being a bartender once I get my game running. I think it would be awesome to sit around in a cantina and serve fireblasters and such to people.

I can sell food and drink on the bazaar but rarely sell anything in the cantina. Hopefully people will come around.

I've spend some time behind the bar in Theed (Ahazi) and so far it's slow going. I'm trying to GIVE away anything I can (I'm only a novice artisan) - free Aitha, Caf, Crispic, etc. In about an hour behind the bar I only gave away 5 items and sold two (thank you to those who paid).

I think July should be Bartender Awareness Month. Not only do I provide a small service (buffs) but I also add to the atmosphere by role-playing when behind the bar. If you won't even take my items for FREE, there's no point in my standing behind the bar washing glasses and shooing the flies off the Bantha nuts.

Sitting behind the bar RP'ing a bartender is definetly fun, but usually people just want beer for the sake of having beer. Food is hard to get rid of. We really need some crafting stations behind the bar and some food/drink animation cycles or something.
