Thread: Anyone had a chance to test how the crafting effect our products?

I know this is only for a day, but was curious if anyone has experimented with how the changes actually would have affected us if they were to stay live.

I made a bunch of Vagnerian Canape this morning after the patch just to see the differences and I was unable to get the buff as high as I normally do, so I'm looking forward to the system going back... I have been getting +725 9 minutes 36 seconds, filling 33, stacks of 6 every time. Post patch, best I could do was +715, 9 minutes 36 seconds, filling 34, stacks of 6..... This one took me 3 amazing successes, too. Bleh. Used exact ingredients on the test, including the same Heavy nutrients.

Vagnerian Canape here as well, Ok not as uber as yours but this is with just the resources I had and non BE : -

Before patch 6 uses 33 filling +279, 9 mins 12 secs, so its not good but at least you can eat 3, few points used to get to 33 and a few power increases.

Afterpatch 6 uses 34 filling(all experiment points used in filling) +240, 9 mins 12 secs

Used the same resources and made a few of each.

Soas far as im concerned, this changeis not for the best andI can see that we will not be the only 2, wait to see a few more poeples POV

Thanks

vasarian brandy. same exact resources as my last run. same BE nutrients. before i was getting +407 for 33 minutes. pre experimentation had filling at 52. 1 point always got it down to 50. now i have to use 3 points. have tried it several times. regardless of amazings it still takes 3 points. second time i did it i got 2 amazing and 1 good. still 3 points to hit 50. leaves me only 7 points of exp. left. now im only getting it to +386 for 33 minutes. the 2 exp. points are the difference though. bring on the hot fix

I only had time to do 3 items :
Vassarian Brandy
Vercupti
Vagnerian Canape

Using the same resources as yesterday.

Yesterdays results for :
Vassarian Brandy +398 MFW, 40mins, 18 use, 49 filling
Vagnerian Canape +731 FW, 9m42s, 6 uses (cant remember filling 39 I think)

Results today for :
Vassarian Brandy +398 MFW, 40mins, 18 use, 49 filling
Vagnerian Canape +731 FW, 9m42s, 6 uses (cant remember filling 39 I think)
Vercupti using medium nut - +963 HAM 9m20sec, 2 uses, 69 filling

As far as I can see, Im getting exactly the same results, but I am using very high resources at Master in a Research Center

i tried Vagenerian canape, and i wasn't able to max out on the food stats during experimentation and that's with 2 amazing success (before it was all great success), it's close, but not as good as before.

I don't like this new crafting nerf/change, this means more experimentation points will be more valuable, especially crafting assembly and experimentation tape/clothes, i couldn't affort them before, i sure can't affort them now.

Good thing this is one day try out, let's hope it'll be back to normal.

ok, just tried to BE enhanced Brandy types:

before:

+405 47m(sometimes 47m30s)
+372 53m30s
after
+401 45m30s
+364 50m30s

As you can see, theres a difference of 4-8 buff and durations 2-3 min less each one. Not a huge difference but still, trying to get the duration up to the 'pre publish' time will decrease the buffs even more (probably 10-30 Id say). So it does make some difference. I also got a few more amazing successes (6 and 8 for the post publish) where I averaged 2-7 amazing successes pre patch.

I prefer pre patch crafting Glad it's being reverted tomorrow

All gone. Nothing to see now. Bye Bye Ahazi most of you guys were cool

Most of my results went down. Didn't have time nor the will to want to experiment too much but these are my results using the exact same resources as i did with the pre-patch stuff

Pre-patch

Vas-Brandy +418 for 43:30mins, 49 fil, 21 uses

Vag-Canapes +715 for 10:32, 36 fil, 7 uses

After the patch:

Vas-Brandy +412 for 40:00mins, 49 fil, 21 uses

Vag Canapes +693 for 10:32, 38 fil, 7 uses

So a significant drop and i am using some seriously hot resources (berries with 3 stats over 940 and one at 890, and fruits not far off the same), 12 experiment points, and from within a research center using top tools and station. I also tried using different resources but considering this was supposed to benefit the masters who use the high end resources I was seriously disappointed.

A friend of mine is a Master Armoursmith, he was getting some seriously good armour results in the new patch, as was another friend who is a Master Weaponsmith and was making powerups with amazing statistics. Maybe the results of this revamp on crafting was to enable the professions who used to just whack all the experiments into one bar and maybe 1 or 2 into another to get an advantage using better resources, over those who don't. If this was the intention, then they really didn't consider the Chef at all, who, at least since the revamp of our profession, always (i hope) experiment with every single line in the list.

I for one am happy they are removing it, and I hope they give it a hell of a lot more thought when throwing it back at us. I assumed this change was to help effect the economy of the game. All it would do is give armoursmiths, weaponsmiths etc who are getting better than ever results even more reason to up their prices, as the people who struggle to have to drop theirs, instead of keeping the better results at the same price due to people using low-end resources suddenly not being able to make anything decent anymore.

I'm going to have to go with a resounding "no". At least for crafters with only 10 experimentation points dealing with items that have multiple experimentation categories (like food).

First, despite reports I found it almost impossible to max out a category with 10 points. I had to get at least one amazing success (and that had to be on a 2-3 point experiment).

Second, the percentage increase was reduced for great successes, too far in my opinion. Pre-patch, you could get +7% with a great success no matter what resource quality you had. Post-patch the increase appears related to the max percentage at a really bad ratio. I went through my resources looking for the best that I had, it turned out to be some Corellian Dom Wheat, so I made a couple Corellian Ales.

DR: 565, Flav 405, PE 988, OQ 908

This should give a max of 95% in nutrition. I was able to hit that with 10 experimentation points getting all great successes (although now that I think about it, there was another bubble I could've filled if I had more). Since it had a starting percentage of 28%, this means I got a 6.7% increase per point on each great success. My guess is that you would get the pre-patch 7% increase (with a great success) only if you had a max of 100%.

Based on this, even with a few more "amazing successes" (which seem to give about 1% more increase) you can't get the same mix of stats you could prepatch, and you probably need at least two or three more points spent in one category to get it to the same level (leaving with two or three less points to spend in others).

12 point chef here and a 14 point artisan...

Tried 3 brandy combos. Ultimately in the same basic range using best basic resources to date and 85 BE.

446 Buff, 38 min, 50 fill, 18 stack

409 Buff, 44m 30s, 50 fill, 18 stack

398 Buff, 46 min, 50 fill, 18 stack

Pretty close to what I had pre-patch brandy wise...

Canape was better generally speaking using 113 nutrient

774 Buff, 10m 8s, 38 fill, stacks of 6

Now artisan stuff is a whole new ballgame. Look at this spiced tea with 52 additive...

85 mind, 45 min, 8 filling, stack of 9

I would be fine if it stayed live, but many chefs could not compete as few have the HQ resource stockpile of uber stuff I do, and the 12 points to boot.

I was able to get my bivoli tempari to 25.8, which was 100% experimentation with a +115 additive.

Kinda disappointed that I couldn't get to 26..

I made some tests with some ressources ranging form good (average 700) to very good (average 900).

For reference, Im Master Chef with 10 points.

Result is like loosing 3 or 4 points.
