Thread: BoH. Does this drink have Market?

Sorry I missed your tells earlier...I presume that was your question. (if not, shoot me some mail)

I sell BoH for 60-75k a crate depending on the quality of item (I just sold a full and partial crate tonight)...I usually make the stuff as good as I can, but sometimes you know how it goes, sometimes you are limited by resource quality and have to fillorders.

At 75k the product doesn't really move (although I sell crates weekly by selling single stacks from the crates in the bazaar for 3k at a pop). A bit slower than selling the case outright...but it works for me...

yes, this drink has a market...but like many of our products, we have to inform our customers about it. I sell, on average, 5-6 crates of it weekly in addition to the bazaar sales.I would suggest putting a couple stacks on the bazaar with a WP to your vendor and see if anyone bites.

Ultimately,I have found that cost isn't the main issue for most people...it's your willingness to chat about your productsthat wins most people over. I have a PA with several members that hit my vendor weekly...one of them even tried to poach me away to their PA. Iknow you just hit master recently, but give it a little time and work the crowd...I have to admit I am amazed at what I can sellin this game...

Yes, that was my question

I hit master like 4 weeks ago and that is my first set of BoH crates because i was waiting for a good rice to pop and finally found it in Corellia.

I dont really like vendors, i sell almost all my stuff in cities speaking with people and sometimes handing a stack for free to try the product im offering. And I have really good sales, mainly Fishaks, but was very excited last days about BoH and was a bit frustratedseeing how people rejects this drink due to the cost.

Sounds like you have the right idea. Probably will take a little time...my earliest sales were word of mouth and chat...then someone said..."hey, you have a vendor? you really should have one".

You can alsosella BoH/Vegeparsine combo dubbed as armorlube. That is a fun angle.

I started my BOH and Fishak prices much, much lower months ago, not having a clue what people would pay. I've since had to double the price on Fishak, and increase my BOH to 70k-ish, depending on quality, just to keep it in stock more than a day (important to me, I like people to keep coming back knowing there will be a full stock). From what I've noticed, it's usually guild raid leaders and resellers who buy them in bulk, so maybe market more heavily towards those types of players?

Sunburns, Ryshcate, Veghash, Ormachek, Ice Cream, Flameout, Thakitillo, and Pate, are the only other things that sell, at about half the speed, and half the price or less. Ah well.

These are not the drinks you're looking for, move along I sell BOH at 350credits a serving but I put a 4k/stack cap on it. This generally translates to 1/2 crates at 48k and full crates at 90k. Stacks are generally 13-15. The amount I sell at this price is just comfy enough. It takes SOO long to make these, I dont want to devote 2 factories to making them all the time. Im afraid that if I lowered my price a whole lot, I would do nothing but tie up my factories making BoH.

I sell my BoH for 60k per crate when I'm burning off extra rice or oats. And 75k when I make an offical batch of the stuff.

I don't like making it though, it doesn't sell as well as fishak and the markup isn't as good

(this is my pricing on Tarquinas - Radiant may differ substantially)

I also sell my Breath of Heavens for 350 credits a use. i get 9-12 uses per stack without putting any points in quantity.

I give a flat 10% discount on all full crates, so fora crate of 9-use stacks that would 70,875.

However, I sell *much* more BOH's by splitting them into 10-stack mini-crates. That way the person is still getting a good 90-120 uses in one mini-crate, and the price is a lot more manageable for them. With 5% discount, that works out to 30k the way i price it. If you think about it, a mini-crate of BOH is almost equal to a full crate of something else.

The single stacks also sell very well.

I find that once someone looks at the stats and tries one, they're hooked on BOH from then on. It's all a matter of educating. That could be true for a lot of the master level foods as well.

I find that having a house with a vendor really helps sales, because it gives them a chance to browse through all the products at their leisure, comparing stats and prices, seeing what's possible, etc. A central location makes it easier for them to come back and buy more from you too, rather than just trying to catch you when you're on. Just a suggestion.

Good luck on your server!

This question is specially for Radiant Chefs, but can be answered by anyone. Im having difficults selling my BoH crates since the price is too high due the number of resources involved (around 7.000 per crate).

The Stats im offering in my crates (545 Strengh, Quickness and Focus for 476s with 250 drinks per crate) doesnt seems to impresionate my customers due to the price i mark on the drinks (75k, 300cr per use).

So the question is, do u have a good market for this drink? Is my price too high or the stats bad? I think that if I need to lower my prices im goint to put this drink out of stock, cause the time and resources involved (6 aludiums per stack) dont make it valuable for me.

I thought TK would love this drink, but since they buy Fishak to use powerboost not sure if this drink have a good market.

Thanks guys and ill appreciate your answers.

prices on lowca are similair, around 75k for a crate of boh, 50k for a crate of fishak. 3 times the resources in boh = i won't be selling it.

I go for maximum quality resources when making BoH in the past, but plan to make BoH-lite in the future. In the past I aim for stacks close to 20 uses. 20 use stacks with good stats runs about 4k. every use over that is 100cr extra so a 23 use stack is 4300. I was using OQ 1000 oats for this, so the other stats were very nice. I sold crates of this from between 90k to 100k, and stacks as mentioned. 15 use stacks would be worth 3k in my book....basically 200 cr/use for any masterchef food with caps and limit sales. It's worked for me so far. Food isn't selling so fast to clean me out, but not too slow as to cause a burden.

I'll purposely make a low calorie BoH to take with me when selling crates on the road. I'll pop a few cheap low calorie stacks in the local bazaar and "/shout Breath of Heaven for sale (mention stats)..no for sale on the local bazaar...augmented crates for sale too../tell me. partial crates available" and etc... When I do this I'm always selling other crates too, because BoH still sells slow and a lot of people laugh at the price..but I've found that there is always a buyer...and the ones that laugh, many do come back and visit my shop and buy other things. It's almost like "Wow! a drink like that for so much money..what else does he have?!?!"

BTW I'm not a big resource gatherer right now, but I've a small bundle in my bank.

While Fishak is the new "fad" drink (before it was sunburns then BoH), BoH still has a crazy market for me. Shelf life of a crate on my vendor = 1 - 1.5 days at 80k a pop. That's with +600 boosts for550 seconds. Given the pain of creating them, they pull their weight in my store.

I sell BOH 200credit per use. Only thosesmart customer who know how good is it will pay that 135K per crate.

May I know how many uses in the crate you guys made? 70K per crate seens too low price and not worth to make it.
