Yes milking is done on live creatures.

Your cost for milk should be zero. You can go collect it yourself.

Got 900 units last night in no time. Take missions with creatures you want to milk. Jump on your speeder goto the lair milk the creatures. Back on the speeder, next lair milk the creatures.Destroy missions in datapad on the way back to the mission terminal. Rinse and repeat. Easy.

Pikets Longhorns were giving 95 units per.

You know you don't even have to get off your speeder to get the missions.

I wish the cost was zero, but unfortunately I don't think many chefs have scouting skills. I don't even have combat skills.

I see that gathering milk isn't that hard though, so at least we shouldn't be expecting 50 cpu or anything.

And no, I don't have the scouting skills needed; I kept scaring the critters I was trying to milk.

And for all you city slicker scouts out there, some of those critters are bulls... they don't give milk.

Fambaa on Naboo are putting out 100 units per creature so there should be plenty of milk to keep the prices down unless the chef population starts needing it in 10k stacks, BE's also use it for some tissues so there is more than one market for it. Good for me....hehehe.

Anyway, I collect the milk and would like to know the stats from the planets on Cobantis or any galaxy for that matter. I have heard that Rori is putting out some high PE and OQ milk and I know that Naboo milk is 900+ in flavor but what are the rest of the planets doing?

I've been milking and it's really easy

I did Sharnaffs 1500m SE of Corellia where people often do missions and got a bit over 1k in just under an hour. No combat - they don't aggro if it doesn't work

One sharnaff gives as low as 48 and as high as 111 from my limited sample, milking attempts (which dont always succeed) take about 25 secs
