I've only seen a very few positive helpful posts here towards new chefs, ok so alot of these new chefs are holo grinders asking things that are in the stickies... but this group comes across as the most unhelpful and elitist bunch on these forums.

Maybe if you were a bit more polite and courteous to newbies in your profession there might be more chefs ?

This is not aimed at everyone, just a few who delight in flaming new posters to this board.

Personally I dont want chef to be full of people that are so lazy they need someone to log in their account and grind professions for them. Its been shown time and again that if a person takes a little initiative most of the people here will go out of their way to help. If a person comes here and doesnt bother to read jack and only wants to know how to power through everything but cant even trouble theirselves with an attempt to locate that information....well... uhhh tell me again why chefs should answer the same question 20 times a day. I think I lost that post the last time it was posted...Its probably somewhere in the 300 how do I master chef posts which make this board utterly useless. Its nothing against new chefs...Its a lot against lazy people who think they are somehow above reading and should only receive "special" instructions. Oh yea and uber dood speak... we need a translator for that.

Start askingquestions that we dont see 100 times a day and you will get a more positive answer.

Actually this forums very friendly and helpful. Its just the holo posts that do us in. Being a chef isnt elitist. We have a profession that very few people understand. And when they learn all of sudden they cant buy enough from us. Plus it was broken for a while and is now just getting some love.

Actually the real issue is that most chefs spend time and energy working through the profession, many while it was badlybroken. They do not enjoy an ass coming in here andinsulting them by saying howcrappy the chef profession is...the usual ruleof thumb when asking for help is using honey...not vinegar...

I don't think anyone has a chip on their shoulder...its more of a statement that if you come here disrespecting us...you will get it back...and frankly no one has really flamed anyone who has come here...yet...

Guys, let's just resolve not to respond to these types of threads anymore. They aren't "getting it", and they aren't going to "get it" because they don't care. They have no respect for the idea that some of us are here by choice and care about the profession. Please don't answer these types of threads anymore.

Nikki you still rule, but you are talking to a wall when you talk to a "mighty holo grinder!" TM

Well I figured instead of yelling at them and being pissed like I was doing, I'd make it funny for the real chefs. I hope the rest of you chefs are getting as many laughs as I am from the "helpful" replies I've been giving to our holo chasing friends.

I would never mislead someone with genuine interest and questions. I hope you all know that. You'll notice I will only post these special "resources" in a thread started by a holo chef who has clearly ignored all our other attempts to help them with stickies.

Happy Holidays to you all!

We are an incredible helpful and friendly board actually. You wont find any l33ts or Doodz in our regulars as our profession doesnt attract them.

If someone says Hey im a new chef here is a very obscure question which means i actually know and care about what im asking, we jump at the chance to answer them.

On the other hand Hologrinders who cant read multiple stickies at the top of the forum or who start out a post with "got chef UGH" or "this prof is boring" can kiss my tight green twi'lek butt!

Its not that hard. I got a holo just like everyone else and mine said Master Tailor. I doubt ill even do it, but for curiositys sake i went to the tailor forums, read the stickies did a forums search and got more info than i could possibly use including some stuff i didnt know they could make.

If your a real chef pull up a chair and lets chat.

If your a hologrinder who cant read for themselves get the hell out.

and by the way its Kettle fried and Jalapeno flavored.

When people post up nasty threads I send nasty replies. I consider a demand (let's face it, it's usually a demand) that asks for the quickest possible way to master this awful profession a nasty thread. There are also way too many people posting requests when there are at least 10-15 clones on the first page of this forum.

You will find that generally, people in this forum are VERY friendly & helpful.

However, if you come in here, ignore all the sticky topics, and ask how to afk macro to master chef in 4 hours, people aren't going to respond very well.

The forums have very informative sticky posts, and the search function works. If we answer every lazy persons questions over & over, any useful/interesting threads get pushed pages down due to holo-chef posts.

I have nothing at all against holochefs, I personally have done 2 professions in 3 days for the hell of it, but instead of jumping onto the ID forums and asking "I need a macro for ID, and I need help to master it fast", I read their sticky topics, and I searched for an hour & read up on the profession before starting.

Attempting to go for FSCS is a commitment to a long and difficult path, and if they can't even make the effort to read a couple of posts, then I don't see why we should make the effort to help them.

I have nothing to add. My chef brothers and sisters have said it all (and I love you guys, reading your responses reminds me why I love to be a chef). The only thing I can say to you Doofski is that these are the same responses to the same questions that has been asked almost as much as "What do I grind to master chef".

That question is "Why do you hate holochefs". I would recommend that this thread get stickied but holochefs seem way to lazy to ready anything anyway so they would miss the whole point. We prolly have 5 chefs a day come through that read the stickies and grind in peace or post intelligent questions about food crafting and we never hear from them (and you don't see us slamming them do you!!), it is just those last few that don't deem our forum as worth of reading and instead post crap like "What do I grind to master chef the fastest" or "gimme a macro to grind chef cause I am too lazy to push buttons".

When was the last time you saw some one post "I am a new chef and my crafting recipies don't seem to add up can any one help me out" and then had 20 chef posts in 30 minutes telling them to *edit* off (P.S. Doofski the Crafting Recepies for food are broken, that is what makes it an intelligent question about Food Crafting which is what these forums are suppose to be for)

Well a number of great chefs have sounded off in regards to your questions, and if you don't have your answer now then I don't know what you are looking for.

As for wanting new chefs around by being nicer:

a) We are going to have a ton of new chefs wether we want em or not in Jan when food gets more usefull

b) We are polite to the chefs we want to stay, sadly there are some wankers that post here that don't want to read anything and want us to do all their chef grinding for them. These are the people that Nikii is talking to (and I love reading every word of her posts )
