...Depression.

These are the most depressing boards ever....not that we don't have good reasons to be depressed and upset, but it isn't much fun around here.

I am trying to come up with stuff that is positive....

  • We have player cantinas, and chefs will be able to place them

  • Player cities are almost done, and once they are out we should see some improvements.

  • Mounts are coming out which will require pet food....more sales for us.

  • Someday we will be able to make blue milk, and you know that is what the movies were really about. Without blue milk Luke would not have grown up as strong and healthy....he would probably have slipped from that cable while they were swinging over the chasm in ANH and that would be pretty much it, now wouldn't it?

  • Droids are not yet edible...as shown in ESB when R2 got eaten and spit out. Cuts back on our competition

  • We can spread meatlumps all around and tell people to not step in the bantha poodoo.

Can anybody else come up with stuff? Help me out here, I am getting really depressed and need some cheering up. We all do.

With only 0.3% of players with novice chef, that's 300 potential customers for every chef.

I use food every day. Lately this has been mostly sunburns because of the stacking issue, but also willpower enhancing foods to cut my down time after a battle and focus enhancing foods when I'm healing pets. I have more crates of food in my backpack than I have crates of powerups and stimpacks combined (and I should add I'm not a chef so the food is for my own use)

  • We have the most communicative and hard working correspondant I've seen on these boards.

  • Many different classes have come out in support of chefs because of the stat bug and the stacking bug. Ok, it was a little selfish of them, since the bugs affected their own play, but they did support us.

  • "Iron Chef"and "Expert Bartender"are the coolest titles in the game.

  • I only have 3 1/2 more boxes to go to make Master Chef. Now if I could just find a high corn concentration...

  • Liv's Banthamart site rocks.

  • Umm.... we outnumber pikemen?

Ok got one
We're so rare we still get ohhhhs and ahhhs
Not much competion for chef skill enchancers, and they're really cheap cause no one else wants them
We always can out due someone when they're complaing that something isn't fair
And of course we still do get lots of sales cause we have the only use and loss crafting item, well excpet for meds but those are made by docs not crafters.

And now I'd like to re-double that sentiment after perusing the correspondant forum during the "everyone's a PA Correspondant" snafu.

Our factories can make use of crated components, instead of having to take each individual component out and load it into the ingredient hopper (wall modules anyone?).

Food and drink still sells right now, even though it's bugged and/or vastly inferior to alternatives. Imagine once it's great, and Chef products are even better than the alternatives, or maybe even provide unique results.

Aside from the Holocron Chefs, I haven't met a single Chef who was (to put it lightly) less than appealing or unfriendly. It almost makes us like a brotherhood (or sisterhood). I see the same type of community on the Pikeman boards.

Food and drinks are cool. 'Nuff said.

This is very true.

I still have positive feelings about chef. I really think it will be a great profession. I've had to shift into another mode, though. A mode where I'm notcounting on what will or wont happen this week, or next week, or even next month, or with the next patch- and also a mode where I do as many un-chefy things as I have time for. Like climbing the mountains west of Kor Vella with a friend who lives in a different state ... just for the lovely view.

Also ... think of the party we can throw the dayour buffs are buffed.

Well my positivity cannot be used on everyone else but....I'm so new I haven't had the frustations of all of you yet, so ignorance is bliss for me. I don't own any factories, nor harvesters, nor know just how bad buffs suck because I've never used one...lol. Ok beside from being a total noob at the game we have the coolest profession just because we are so few! It's nice being the minority. I like to think how wonderful it is that I'm the only one who does my profession. I don't wanna be like everyone else on a MMOG. I wanna be totally unique and we are doing a wonderful job at it. And anything else I could have thought up everyone already stole...lol.

Some drinks don't need stairs to place correctly on the table. Breath of Heaven is one and it looks really nice on my table in my shop.

OH...sorry for double post.

How's this Sir Vimes....I haven't ran a mission in a couple weeks. I sell enough in my shop and on the bazaar to support ALL of my maintenance even though it seems Bria has the highest concentration of chefs. I have lots of fun roleplaying my several professions, and as someone mentioned we still get ooohs, aaahhhs, and "OMG a freakin' MASTER chef!"

And biggest on my list is that I cheered myself up last Sunday by forcing myself to meet new people, get out in the community, roleplay my business and I sold well over 600k worth of food and drink in that single day!!! Screw the bugs! I'm having fun!
