Yes its broken atm. And I am not going to tell you the names, but will give you something more valuable
. Look at the stickies on top of the forums and you will find a thread with lots of useful information. There you can find what each food does, what skill it takes, resources, numbers, etc. etc.
Anyways good luck.

To my knowledge, dodge food works if you have that skill and use a pistol or one handed weapon.

Actually, not true. They are suppose to work for everybody. Everybody should have the chance to dodge, but pistoleers and fancers have a better chance.
And this should be working in the next publish.

I know, but I'm talking about the current situation. They only work for fencers and pistoleers now, don't they?

I didn't see any topics about this after a quick scan of the first page of the forum and the recent issues topic....forgive me if I'm being redundant.
Basically, do the dodge foods still work in combat? Specifically Pikatta Pie and Air Cake. I have yet to make any post-CU, but from using my pre-CU leftovers with my main combat character, I haven't noticed much of a difference by using them.
Are they working as intended, but NPC damage output is so high now that it really doesn't matter whether you have them or not? Or is the stat broken?

As far as I know, no one knows exactly how they are working right now. I can tell you that based on my own tests, they dont really do much. They mitigate about 1% damage, and are still listed as a dodge enhancer, but I havent noticed a difference in the number of hits your opponent lands on you.
If anyone else has done more tests on this, please post your results. As it stands, it appears it appears to be broken.

Pre CU I was using pittaka pie in combat I noticed a large differnce in my ability to get hit less...
Post CU I have yet to notice any difference at all... this is using the exact same pie

It seems SOE has taken the game from one extreme to the other. Before, stat buffs were required to play. Now, they are not required at all for the most part, and they even changed the way things work to prevent people from wanting a little advantage. (AKA: food stacking, which IMO wasn't a problem. Now there is really nothing worth making than the Artisan foods that each buff HAM regen seperately)

i did some testing a while back and posted the results. with pikatta i got hit about 8% less by a same-CL critter and took some 15.5% less damage per hit.
