Hey guys, I'm new to the chef profession and I'm trying to level as fast as I can....I'm grinding stewed Gwouch right now with a 3 crafting tools, but I can't get it to work with more than 3...anybody have any good ones out there?

Does anyone else feel that AFK playing your way to Master is lame? I can see the point of macros to link certain combinations but being able to dispense with the human in a gameplay situation seems highly unfortunate to me

there is no afk macro for grinding to chef. there is a super fast macro u could use to keep 8 crafting tools going on ithorian mist though.. uses tons of resources if u have hte cash to bankroll it.

I wasn't planning on being AFK....I'm not that lazy, I just want something to go through the crafting stages for me while I select the resources...that's what I have now but I only have 3 crafting tools...could you hook me up with the macro for the ithorian mist?

Oh and if chef weren't broken I wouldn't be doing this.

Use 6 tools, put them in the shift+F12 spot.

Write a macro to rotate your F bar, select the button, and bring up your schematic.

Quick click your resources, and hit enter the rest of the way until you are done (on practice).

With good a good fps and some practice, you can grind all 6 at the same time on ithorian mist (178xp per).

It is pretty well documented on SWGcraft, check out thier general crafting forums. Also, I'm curious now for every single player speed grinding to chef (especially since the class is buggy and recently dangerous). Is this a Holocron grinding? I'm guessing 75% chance it is, I'm just curious.

F1-F4 = crafting tools

Then in F8-F11 i have this macro

/uiaction toolbarSlotYY where YY is 00, 01, 02, 03 depending on crafting tool to be used

/select designschematic (XX) where XX is the productwhat you want to grind

Then in F12 i have another macro.

/nextcraftingstage practice no item;

/nextcraftingstage practice no item;

/nextcraftingstage practice no item;

/nextcraftingstage practice no item;

Hit F8, click resources, f12

Rinse repeat with the rest.

I not sure if that is exact typing as server is patching and i cant check...someone will be able to fix up my mistakes in it tho i'm sure

Here is basically the macro I used...your draft schematic number might vary, and make sure you aren't near a crafting station when using it!

This I used for stewed gwouch and I had eight crafting tools set up F1 - F8. I could loop this one on the first seven so I only had the macro use that many. F12 was the macro itself and hence the last looping command. In F11 I had the Ithorian Mist grindable macro, which used all 8 crafting tools, in F10 I had wastril bread, which I stopped using but still sat there, and in F9 was my "/dump" hotkey for clearing the macro queue.

I used Ithorian mist when I could, but getting the resources was a pain because you need three separate resources and the local bazaar had inflated prices on the lowest quality flora food. Instead I mostly used Stewed gwouch because I had a great water spot, a heavey water harvester, and I wasn't afraid to ask everyone I ran into if they had junk organics to donate, or let me buy for 1:1 ratio. I did buy up all the Ithorian Mist resources I could when working on my last box. And it was nice because I had just enough money to do it.

with "/select designschematic (XX)" Where do i find that number for the schmatic? Im basic chef gunna grind alcohol

I crafted 3 tiers in chef by hand. thats right no macros. then i dropped chef lol

To find out the schematic number its trial and error. I suggest making a half macro that takes you just past the select schematic screen so you can plug in numbers. The schematic you want to craft will be near similar schematics of the same tier, and I found that the number changed when getting a new box of the same tier.
