Thread: Duration capped at 22 mins
22 minute duration?!? What were you crafting? And what was your final "Flavor and Texture" percentage?
/bow before Potillan's l33t ch3f skillz.
And here I was stoked that I got a sunburn up to 480s once.
NM I just did so math and it wouldn't be possable to build on a loop anyway, it would just make it possable to eat more then one at a time.
So still why cap it...?
I think the highest dur Ive seen is on vercupti & angerian - though I havent really played with dur, I try to put points into the actuall buff size

Can you say what you made, and what stat ingredients to get that dur ?
The stats on the ingridents were all 900+ with some close to 990and the supplement was 57%.
Really went for the gusto
Got the duration to 1319, on bivoli using 65% enhancements, 800-900quality resources, and all my skill points into duration. I don't remember the starting duration.
That was one test run. Unfortunatley, while it's cool to make, not one of my customers is willing to pay for the bivoli considering the costs (if 65% enhancements and all power or quantity is experimented). It simply costs too much
It is fun in an ego contest though
....I am sooo much better than potillan!

LOL I'll have to get my BE to make me some 65% ones and see if I can get it to 1320 exactly ![]()
But your right the stats aren't good enough for the cost of it but it is interesting to know about the cap, even if it really never comes into play.

Jolly good show ole boy. Jolly good show.
I'm impressed as well.
However, I find that with about 75% of the things that I craft, I can't make the duration go up further than 30 seconds, even with 9 experimentation points. So it might not be a total cap, just that you found one of those (many, many) items that can't get a higher duration.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Has anyone ever been able to make a food with a duration of grater then 1320 seconds?
I made some food and it started at 1310 seconds, and after using all 10 exp points I could only raise it to 1317 (from the % rise I'm guessing it was trying to get to 1320).
So any ideas? Maybe this is to prevent unlimited looping of food?

Well the problem is duration is screwy, commonly not reflection the quality of the ingredients you put in, so its hard to get it really high. But the amount of time it goes up with experimentation is based on two things: starting duration and maximum amount you can experiment it.
The starting duration is your base number for experimentation and since experimentation is a percentage game if the number is really low its hard to raise.
Second is the maximum you can experiment it, lets say you get really poor results and the starting % is only like 5, and you can only get it to like 15. Each time you experiment it will only go up by one or two percentage points so because it went up so little the duration also only goes up by one or two percent.
In other news I managed to brake my own rule last night lol
I only had time to try once or twice. but I managed to create a 1329s Bivoli Tempari using a 50% Broad Spectrum Nutrient but it still feels like there's some sort of limiting cap(though theres always the possablity I'm insane). I got a bunch more Nutrients to fool around with from my BE friend right before I loged, I think some of them are closer to 60% so they will serve as a true test when I get home tonight.

Congrats Potillan, I'll try to beat it tomorrow or friday (need more nutrients!)
Thanks, but we shall see who comes out on top in the end.
