This makes me excited that BE components will come in crates soon so that we can make crates of longer duration foods.

Also, the high end duration nutrients require 20 units of fish per...my BE supplier tells me that I need to do an exhorbant amount of fishing if I want reign as the duration king. It will take a while to seriously compete with potillan's claim.

I would never, ever make food like this in crates (imagines fishing for 1000 units offish for a single bivoli crate....ouch!)

Oh yeah, I loves me some fishing!

off main topic...
i've been thinking of including cognitive enhancers in some crates of glazed glucose pate and see how they do sale. i heard something about a general increase in the BE components effectiveness. hmmm. gonna test it out and see how it goes. now just to get the 2k dom meat i need for the supplements and the 1k i need for the pate itself...

how do you dupe resources again? hahahahaha (kidding, otherwise i'd have some master BE making me cognitive reformat supplements... milk... millions and millions of units of milk... a vast sea of milk... mmmm i want a cookie)

FYI for any chefs that didn't know: the lowest level BE tissue Micronutrient Supplement adds a percent duration bonus to a few of our foods. I can get up to a 28% bonus using 7 experimentation points (I'll get the last 3 points when I eventually reach Master). I point this out because these supplements are pretty easy from a resource perspective - any kind of meat can be used plus two other easy to obtain organics. It is not the 60% bonus mentioned above, but it can add a bit of time to things like Glazed Glucose Pate, Ice Cream, and Veghash (though not as much as I wish since it starts off with such a short duration).

Ok I think I was just crazy about the 22 min cap (though I still think there is something weird going on at ultra high end of the duration experimentation I just can't put my finger on it)
For I have created the single most long lasting food ever.
Using a 59% duration bio additive, 975 FL/ 800 DR meat, and 920 FL, 600 DR Vegetables I have created a Bivoli Tempari that lasts 1408 seconds, that's 2 seconds shy of 23 and a half minutes.
I'm so proud
Now if only it did something more then just +150 mind.

Maybe once my BE friend makes master I can get some 70% ones and try for 25 min ones mwahahah

Potillan,

Why did you site the Decay Resistance stat when you crafted Bivoli? I didn't think that stat had any importance to a chef. (I don't have access to looking at the schematic right now, so maybe Bivoli is different than most foods and I'd be able to answer my own question later tonight.) But I figured I'd ask in the mean time and maybe learn something.

While we're on the subject of me learning something - where should I be assigning my experimentation points for starshine surprise? It seems to me that assigning any to quantity is a waste because tat sunburn ignores the quantity on the SS. But I've heard of other chefs getting pretty high stack sizes on their sunburns and I wasn't sure if there is a better experimentation method or they were just using really high OQ reactive gas.

Oh yeah, thanks for the results of your testing. I find it quite interesting to hear how other chefs are doing.

The schemitatic show that the food is based on 33% FL, 33% PE, 33% OQ. Butit is a wide standing belife that this isn't the whole story. Some how both Unit toughness and Decay Resistance play their part in our buffs, to what degree is debatable. I figure that DR plays its part in the duration of the buff... but have little evidence to back that up. So I figured I'd include that stat as well in case anyone wanted to try to recreate it. I've never noticed a diffrence on my sunburns from the quality of the starshines that went into it. And the OQ on gas does exactly control quanity of the sunburn.
