I have not had the inclination to do any crafting since this patch has gone live. I avidly spoke outagainst this addition to the game before it went live. Just wondering how you guys are making out with it. I will probably have to do some crafting next week and am wondering what to expect.

Based on reports I've seen, you can expect to see a few percentage points higher on the max experimentation cap, and maybe 1 percentage point higher on your initial assembly. It works out to maybe 3-8 more buff size for the larger buff foods (100+), or 30s more on the buff duration.

There is a small benefit but it is not as much as was initially thought. Iget a buff when crafting Chef foods but dont usually bother when making components or artisan foods (the Artisan resource buff is only 1% and doesnt make enough difference to warrant a trip to the Cantina imo)

They have to be there in order to apply the correct buff and you have to tell the dancer which buff it is you want if you have more than one crafting profession

And they DONT stack - e.g.. you cant have the Artisanbuff and the Chef buff at the same time. And get out of the cantina as soon as you are buffed because if you watch or listen to another entertainer after you are buffed you will overwrite the buff and loose it grrrrr.

Its a step in the right direction, but I don't think the boost is significant enough to revive the neglected Entertainers back to the keyboard. Its a fine line though because if its too much of a boost high-end chefs that have already put the time and effort getting top of the line resources will be upset. But I think there is alot of room to improve the buffs effectiveness from where it is now to the 'maximum' limit it could get without hurting people's business.

The effect I saw when using it was negligible IMO. But it was worth it just to try and find a ATK Dancer. They're nice people, but the way the system is now, I can't see myself running to try and find one every time I stop to do some crafting, though for big orders I probably will.

Some servers have some entrepreneurial entertainers that have set up their own chat channel where you can request buffs delivered to you for an additional fee. This is such a great idea it should be hard-wired into the entertainer profession itself. Crafter A puts up a tag or something saying he needs a buff and all the Dancers in the area can check to see who needs a buff and can get their WP and bobs your uncle.

I'm probably not the first person to think of that though.

But like I said its a step in the right direction.

am i correct in assuming, that for the most part, you all are crafting for schematics? once you have the schematic... then its off to the factory..........

Honestly I don't even bother with the new buffs... UNLESS I am crafting a one-time high-stat weapon that I won't be able to re-make.

Otherwise I just don't see the benefit for getting the chef buff when I can just as easily re-roll until I get my results. I got one on the first day and tried crafting a few things... the difference was so small as to be almost negligible... and honestly I see no reason why I should cut into my play time even further to go and track down a non-afk dancer (still just as rare even after patch) to craft my foods. The process already takes me long enough to go through (most notably dragging all the individualcrates ofcomponentsinto the hopper)... the search for a entertainer prior to even starting to craft is an unwelcome prospect.

I agree that the buff is to hard to get.

It does not make me want to find and spend time with entertainers. If anything it is making me resent them because 99% of them are afk.

Good idea...crappy system.

I'm seeing between 1-3 point differences in buff, and most I've seen duration-wise is 12 seconds I think. Is it a big difference? Nope. Does it affect everything? Nope. I still get the buff every time though - in my opinion, any extra chance to get amazings sooner is worth the buff (though I do have an alt who is dancer so maybe that's why I'm so willing).
