I'm seeing between 1-3 point differences in buff, and most I've seen duration-wise is 12 seconds I think. Is it a big difference? Nope. Does it affect everything? Nope. I still get the buff every time though - in my opinion, any extra chance to get amazings sooner is worth the buff (though I do have an alt who is dancer so maybe that's why I'm so willing).

That's why many of us do it. It's the constant challenge to be the best. I haven't crafted a single food since the patch went live and I'm already put off by it. How's it going to be when I do my 9 hour crafting sessions 4 days strait?

The buffs are not worth the effort and not being able to have more than one makes it even more of a hassle.

SOE is grabbing at straws on this one and again put little effort into really understanding how it would play out in the game mechanics.

These buffs might be worth something if Chefs made foods where the minor gains would mean something.

Like PreCU, I could see any gain to V Brandy making the buffs worth while.

With the only minor buffs we make now, most of which last 20 mins, who will give a damn about a 10 point increase.

I just wish the devs would work on fixing stuff that does not work instead of introducing more stuff that really has no benefit.

might have been my bad luck but ive critical failed alot more with these buffs than without. without these buffs i crit fail maybe 1-2 times a week but with these buffs (esp the artisian buff) i seem to failed once or two a week. might just be bad luck but having to av-21's crit fail is enough to make me not even bother with these seeing as ive made over 50 and hadnt had one crit fail till i had the buff

I am getting the same crap, it almost seems as if the buffs code is wrong and is taking away rather than giving us a percentage. I am 12chef 14 artisan with +25 to assembly on both. Yet I have had 4 critical fails just yesterday, beforeI MAYBE had one a week. I sell about 60 crates a dayso I am crafting often. Also the amazings just dont want to come at all I filled my stomach 2 times with +25 bespin before i got an amazing. If any of you are seeing this also you will agree they just made everything alot rougher for high end chefs.

Basically my opinion is the buffs were given to low a percent to be worth chasing down and if they stealth nerfed the the ratio for amazings they just made this profession a little less fun and more work.

Well with the buffs i knocked out 6 all amazing schematic in under 20 minutes, and frankly thats something i've never even got close too.

On my Pica thundercloud i was getting my 2 amazings within 5 shots, normally it takes at least 15. Its working very well for me.

I use the specific chef buff, which gives both.

I agree that the buff is to hard to get.

It does not make me want to find and spend time with entertainers. If anything it is making me resent them because 99% of them are afk.

Good idea...crappy system.

I know that those who are ATK have their own game etc but I also ahve mine which a large amount is spent crafting. I am in a busy guild, own 2 malls and have a ton of friends that I talk to in tells etc and I know it's anti social to noty stop and chat with the ent but to me, I am wasting precious time which with work, quite frankly I don't have a terrible lot of.

It's good for Ents. Bad for crafters. Particularly the high end crafters who do a lot of crafting. Personally I'd like to see the buffs extended in length.....

As one of the rarest breed of players in the game Master Dancer /Musician /ATK always I am dissapointed that several posters here are having difficulty obtaining a chef buff . All I can suggest is you check your server for a dedicated Ent channel and ask in there . The main NPC cantinas are not always the best place to look as thay are generally infested with the dreaded buffbots who can only service the combat players with a general 10% xp buff.

When these buffs went live on TC they originally had a 10% resource buff which for chefs would have made a huge difference with as many high stats required with flora and many servers do not come close in this area. However the WS and to a lesser extent AS professions complained that it would make their game unplayable with no challenges in crafting left to them. This is why the resource buff was reduced to 2% I personally think that 5% would have been a better choice especially for chefs.

Entertainers have been destroyed over a long period of time and only now are some retired players coming back into the game give it a little more time and Im sure you will see more of us in a cantina near you.

I am enjoying the game more than I have in a long time due to feeling that my game style has some significance again and my buffs all last 3h:30m am willing to do house calls ( usefull if you require an Artisan buff and a chef buff ) and hope to continue this relationship with the crafter community.

Good Luck to you all

The Buffs are working, I do get a couple extra points to play around with, but I definitely have noticed the increase of Crit. Fails.

I've used the buffs .

I have noticed a difference with the Chef buffs. The bonus to experiment and assembly is well worth it I think ( and seems to stack with bespin port and pyollian cake ).

The resource buff adds a few points to power or a few seconds to duration, I think the nerfers hurt this part of the buff before it went live. I wish Higgs could get us the 5% he was aiming for. I think we would notice a bigger difference and we'd help out the entertainers by giving them business .

QFE.

Most of us entertainers would love to be more helpful, but I don't feel that the crafters have given us much of a chance to fill the need yet. These buffs are still VERY new to us as well and, frankly, tons of quality ATK entertainers have left due to the buffbot plague, leaving the few of us who are still about with the task of trying to fill the newfound buffing needs. Two suggestions that I feel might help everyone find a dancer that's actually ATK...first, check this post for some tips on some ways to help locate an entertainer (yes, I know it's a musician forum post, but it still applies). Second, and I cannot stress this enough, in your normal travels, look around for dancers and ask if they would be willing to provide buffs for you in the future, then add them to your friends list....why wait until you're ready to start crafting, only to be frustrated by not being able to find one?

I am a master dancer and/or master musician on several servers, as well as a shipwright on at least one and rarely, if ever, have a problem locating live entertainers at all kinds of weird hours of the day. My secret? Checking and joining the entertainer chat channels, keeping my eyes open while travelling for entertainer-related titles, and getting to know those whose services that I wish to obtain before I actually need them. On my shipwright, I have a list of at least 10 entertainers (if not more) that I can count on for buffs and have gotten to know their normal hours of playtime...and adjust my crafting times if needed to match theirs. I know everyone wants to maximise their playtime, so I encourage everyone who wants to get these buffs regularly to get out and meet us so you can avoid endless searching in your time of need...we don't bite and are almost always happy to help and travel to you.

On a side note, I have to agree about the critical failure frequency with the buffs. I've noticed the same on my shipwright and am trying to come up with more data for my /bug report.

I used exactly the same resources as I always do on the artisan foods, specifically blob candy, spiced tea, ruby bleil, things like that. Didn't see any difference whatsoever, still hitting the same stats.

Chef foods on the other hand, I do notice a small buff, however it's still very small and barely worth it. I really don't see what the whole "everyone makes perfect items" argument was about.

I could probably get by still using the resources I have and probably tie if not beat the second best chef on the server without using a resource buff at all.

On flurry, we have the channel "EOF", really handy. Guess finding an entertainer isn't quite as hard for me, cause I am one, but there is a thread on the dancer forums listing entertainer channels like flurry's EOF that you guys should check out.

You know its funny you say this... I did too, however Im a 12 pt chef with a assembly City bonus and good skill tapes with + 24 to assem.. it may be overkill , I dont know.

But I did get alot of crit fails as well.
