Do any of you have customers that are repeatedly rude? Not outright rude, but the ones that just completely lack manners. There's this dude that's always buying from me (+1 point for him), but every time I run out of something, he's there a freaking day later asking me when it's going to be restocked. Now, I suppose I could take that as a compliment since he's obviously not shopping anywhere else because he likes my products, BUT he's GD rude. He'll send me tells, never with a "hi" or any sort of greeting. Just a quick "You're out of brandy," or "When are you putting snowcake back up?" When I politely tell him, he never says "thank you". He just goes on his merry way (-2 points). EVERY SINGLE TIME with this guy. I don't know if he was just raised in a barn or if he's from another country where manners just don't translate, but it's irking me.
Rant about the customers that make you want to beat some sense into them. I know you all have stories!

This one guy goes into my shop, criticizes all my stuff, and buys a good million credits worth of stock, so I ban him for the commotion he put up.... next time around when he realizes it, he is all nice to me, it was funny.

Oh, and the absolute worst is when they hound you about not having something in stock, and you have a good 50 crates of it on the next page. I even have my vendor barking to remember to hit the next page button, but it still doesn't do anything!!

I get so many of those since i've been on break.
For about 4 months they could always count on a stocked vendor with what they wanted. Now all i get is "wtf!?!?! j00 out of brandeh!?!?". It really is amazing how people assume they have the right to tell us what to do.
But i still don't have anyone on my ban list, mainly as i forgot to add them

/wish If only keeping my vendor stocked was a problem for me...
I just hate when I get complaints about the price of stuff (usually it's the fault of another chef who decides to sell his stuff way under market value). "[blank] sells almost as good brandy for 75k. Lower your prices, stop being greedy"
/rolleyes

Lol, that one gets me too. I'm always tempted to shoo them out of the shop while saying, "Don't like it? Don't shop here! Buy something inferior and cheaper, you bastid!" but I don't because I can't do it in good conscience. My self-control is in really good shape; it gets a lot of exercise.

Best reply to anyone who complains about your prices: Go and make it yourself for a cheaper price.
Don't think anyone's had a come back to that yet.

I make subpar for cheaper you n00bzah!
But can't keep in stock like you
(I hate you)
I really have never had any rude customers - it may because of lack of customers. :/

I'll just share one good story
Recently I was on Lok getting a space mission and this guy at the Starport sends me a tell
"Do you have any canapi or vecurpti"
I say no, he says okay thanks bye
The next day, I'm there to get my mission, he asks me the same question (with the same incorrect spelling to boot)
I say no, I'm not a walking vendor. And he starts giving me a lecture on how I could be a better businessman.
So I finally say, Yes, I do have Vercupti and Canape on me. Like I was just lying before.
This guy has no sense of humor, he wanted to know what the stats on them were, and if the same food on my vendor would have the same quality for the same price, because it wouldn't be fair for me to give him a better sample than what I actually have for sale
...
And then later in Coronet I get a random tell saying something like
"Hey, can I have a container of Brandi? Not a whole crate, just one container?"
Emphasis on HAVE
Weaponsmiths or Armorsmiths don't get this kind of attitude do they? Its just us lucky Chefs.

I've often wondered if it was just our profession that took the brunt of the rudeness. I do love the sense of entitlement people seem to have when they approach you. I get the "Can you give me some brandy," question while running through Coronet a lot too. There are times when I'll give something away, but NEVER because somebody asks for it, and I'm likely to put someone in their place when they *tell* me that I should do anything.
This one time (in band camp
) I was in the Coronet cantina, just visiting and giving the atk entertainers some BF and wounds for xp, when someone asked me about making accarragm. She was a new entertainer and I was helping her with xp because she seemed nice enough. Little did I know, in even opening my mouth, I was soon to be her indentured servant. I told her that I did have some alcohol on me, but that I didn't have any fungi or additives or drink containers. Basically, I was being nice and instead of flying back home, I went out surveying and sampling (with only novice artisan, mind you!) for enough to make 2 containers of accarragm. The whole time I was colleting materials, she kept telling me that she couldn't afford the good stuff, but that she'd grace me with her business if I could keep giving her more FREE accarragm. She was also kind enough to keep asking me when it would be ready (Hello, I'm sampling with novice artisan out here to give you something for FREE. Why are you pushing your luck?). Finally, I made them both and gave them to her, and although she was grateful, I still wanted bad things to happen to her.

My favorite moment had to be from an e-mail I recieved from a guy who said he was a merchant. His english was horrible with him using shorthand *everywhere* and he felt the need to yell at me because my food was too expensive for him to buy and sell on his vendor. He felt that I was exploiting because merchants can't make a profit from what i'm doing. Never mind the fact that I was a master merchant also
.
I e-mailed him back and told him that I couldn't do any better for him and that I was a merchant also. He sent another horrid e-mail telling me that if I sold really cheaply to him, I could pass my name around. I told him I was happy with my little shop and then he just tells me that he has a friend who could sell to him much cheaper. I swear I wish I could find these people and throttle them till dead.

I found that the best way to deal with annoying people is to log onto your pvp character andkill them. Example-Some idiot decides to annoy me for half an hour about prices and how i'm rich and greedy, 5 minutes later he had a ph up his .... enough said
