Saw some Veghash for sale last night and was wondering , before I buy a crate, what people thought of it.

Is it worth the cost/time to buy/inventory space?

whats a good max bonus/time limit/stomach fill?

any side effects?

can you use more than one at a time?

are there any other rangery foods/stims maybe some that help with terrain negotiation or camoflage?

I could keep going but will resist. I just like the idea of having some hash which wont make me feel paranoid!

Cheers Calculus, I appreciate the input. I'll give the hash a try and see how it pans out. Pity its not forageable or is that just the Yorkshireman in me speaking.

I will have to check the vendor again but our Guild practicin Chef had some stuff on there for a Trapping bonus, some TN food, some Veghash naturally and i thought i saw something that gave a maskscent bonus...and I bet there is a URL from the chef forums that would lead to a list of foods and their mods.

wish i was better at makin clicky things

This page should give you some info on the chef foods available. I'm not sure how recent it is, though.

veghash at the 33% variety is definatly worth it. Espeically when you have a large order, and the yeild per kill is less than desierable. (IE 35ish units as opposed to 70-100 units from a bigger critter).

Time is money, anything that helps save time is good to have.

I don't always use it, but I always have some on me.

If you are contract harvesting then it can help and if you get a harverting droid, it WILL stack with the droid mods.

33% filling for 12ish mintutes with a +33 mod seems fairly common...anyone find any better?

any side effects?

Nope

Nope

There is a food that helps with TN, BUT if you are a Ranger, then your walking speed is maxed (anything over +50 TN affects your *ahem* crawling speed).

I love veghash. I'm never without two crates of it on me: the cheap 15% kind and the expensive 32-33% kind. On anything with a low-yield harvest where I don't need every last unit I can get, I don't find it worth it to use the expensive stuff, the 15% works fine. If it doesn't matter if I get anything, I won't even bother.

But if every unit counts or I'm doing something big (Endor, Dath, Yavin), I'll use the good stuff. Combined with a harvest droid, you can get a HUGE increase in your harvs. I was using 32% veghash with a 98 bonus harvest droid while hunting rancors one day. Most of the group had novice scout and they'd harvest 150 hides, 160, 170... Then I come along and get 280 to 330.

Its within a point of where most people end up with Veghash. My wife's is usually just over the 30.5 level for 15 minutes.
