True.....there are many misconceptions that amazing successes make it possible to reachhigherlevels on a particularfood. Truth is, the scale for any crafting item is determined by the stats of the resources. Amazings just allow you to reach a certain level on that scale with less experimentation points, therefore you have more experimentation points to spend elsewhere. The final product looksbetter because of theexperimetation successes, but will never exceed the cap set by the resources.

i got 29.295 on mine and still had more pts. i just couldnt put anymore on nutrition...is that any good?
It gets the job done. There will always be the players who won't buy anything unless it's the best stat they've ever seen, but there's plenty of educated people who realise that the difference between +29 and +32 (what mine used to be*) are insignificant. Duration is, IMO, more important then getting an extra point or so on the bonus.
Also, be aware that the decimals do nothing - skill bonuses like this are integer-based, so with foods like Veghash, Bivoli, etc, +29 is the same as +29.99. If you can tweak your resources or your additives, you may be able to hit just over 29, leaving more points for duration. For instance, you may be able to buy cheaper BE additives, which are a little worse but still get you over +29 with the same experimentation.
* I was a Chef just after the revamp, and customers would blindly charge for the highest bonus, ignoring pretty much everything else. Hopefully, they're a little wiser now ![]()
