Here is a link to a food chart that I made regarding how food is working so far in the Combat Upgrade. I want to stress that the chart is far from complete and is subject to changes at any time. I borrowed the idea for the format from the existing food chart for customers that was based on sciguyCO's chef chart. If you come up with additional information please post to this thread, send me a message or email me in game, whichever is easiest for you to do. My guess is that the chart could change daily as more information is gathered and could be completely scrapped for something new if the devs so desire. Please do not post any bugs in this thread, put those in Higginsis thread about Food in the CU. I hope you find this chart helpful.

Wow I sure hope they fix some of these... nobody's gonna buy anything that lasts 30-60 SECONDS...

I assume these are with poor resources and not experimented fully.
Should get better. Least i hope it does.

I know weprobably don't have an answer to this yet, but I'd like to voice some concern--I'm noticing that Citros Snow Cake, something I make a LOT of, is changing quite a bit (from an accuracy buff to a healer buff). I'm curious if when we get to CU, will things in this situation convert to their new form (i.e. my Citros Snow Cake will suddenly be popular with Docs instead of TKMs), or will they convert to something with similar purpose (i.e. Citros Snow Cake will become Corellian Ale, per this spreadsheet)??
I can understand why something that buffsquickness or willpowerwould need to be updated in order to avoid becoming obsolete, but why change a food that's affect is still useful in the game?
If I missed this elsewhere, apologies. LIfe is moving too fast to keep up with some of these right about now.
Thanks!

And this is why I have been afraid to make anything.
Thak
Brandy
etc... This kinda can suck if this goes bad, i.e. all our crated items getting the hose.
**Any chance we can find out if this is going to happen???**
I mean I have been a chef for over a year and I dont post here ever but this is kinda a large issue I would think.
So we can at least blow through this stuff and have room for the new stuff etc..

I noticed this also...You'd think they'd at least make the Pre-CU food somewhat related to what the Post-CU food does.

Or, at the very least, some sort of explanation or rough guidelines on how they intend to do it. My thought is, are these bugs? Is this how it's intended to work? I understand they don't want to give away all the details, and allow us to discover some of them ourselves, but geez...the lack of any acknowledgement that this is how they intend it to be, or whatever is making me seriously consider dropping SWG.
I was generally a fan of what I'd read about the CU until about 4 days ago...but at this point, it seems no one really knows what this game is going to become--not even the correspondents! I'm not convinced they (SOE) really know what they're going to do for some of these things, which concerns me more, because it suggests lack of a plan to begin with.

The part that I really don't like is we have to find this all out on our own, the devs haven't said one peep about foods changing... Would be nice to at least know what their plan is for food/drink. But even with low quality resources, 42 seconds isn't gonna turn into more than a minute or two... that's just ridiculous.

I'm started to get a little annoyed with the lack of communication from the devs about our profession. I don't really mind that they just let us go on TC5 and figure out what foods/drinks will be doing after the CU. I don't really even mind that they're inexplicably changing the effects of some of our stuff. What's getting to me is the fact that they can't take 2 seconds out and tell our corr if and how our stuff (including additives) will be converted after the CU. Tell us pleeeease!
But awesome job on the chart. Can't thank you enough for all the work you did grinding out chef again and crafting some of everything

Par for the course, I'm afraid. The new menu after thechefrevamp last year had to be done up by players too.
If I had to guess, I'd say that existing food will probably just get the new effects, including prior experimentation. So a converted Vas Brandy experimented to 25%/50%/75%/25% will be identical to a post-CU crafted Brandy experimented to the same levels. If filling/duration ranges change, that might cause some problems, since that could change where we spend experimentation points.
It's going to take a bit to find out what's going on with tissues. With the new medical stuff added to BE, their items are granting medical crafting xp.....and they still need BE crafting xp to train the boxes. /rolleyes. Although I'd think that they'd at least be able to check out the Novice tissues (multisaccharide dimate and maybe some tailor ones).
