Thread: Why are a lot of the Chefs freeking out Post-CU?
craft a few foods
then have a friend go out and try them out if you if you have no combat and tell me what you think about the foods?!!!
they just dont seem worthwhile to make, buy or sell most of them.........
oh and BTW i wasn't one of those chefs just in it for the money...i actually enjoyed making good products i was proud and sold stuff under the current market of my server.....GOOD PRODUCT for CHEAP that was my goal.....i dunno if i am willing to do "sorta good product, maybe helps a lil, for next to nothing so that i go broke and can't continue crafting"

Considering the way the new system worksthey seem pretty helpful to me. I took my TKM out w/ a lot of the new stuff that was just converted from my old stuff and even the brandy and Ahrisa helped some. The new system will take a little getting used to but foods defiantly give you that extra edge. Your action goes down quick and food helps regen that quicker, not to mention the deffence foods. I know some of the stuff is still bugged like the steaks duration seems to be time when itshould be attacks but they will get the bugs worked out over time.
People are always so against change that they can notstop to see that the change is not so bad. If you have been playing the game as long as I have you get used to things changing, being bugged, and eventually (sometimes a long eventually) they get fixed.
Heck if they never changed anything we would all still be walking everywhere. ![]()

Its going to take time and patience to get used to the new system, but i honestly think that we're in that bad a shape (aside from the non stacking HAM foods, which i hope is a bug).
I tried some of my brandy yesterday, and let me tell you +430 health regen is nothing to be sniffed at.
Freudian slip there, Higginsis?

Was this +430 regen brandy something that was converted over from old stock?? My brandy that was previously +430 brandy has now been converted to +196, just as my vercupti has, and my +755/33 fill canapes have converted to something even worse.
Please do not stop makeing food and drinks if you're one of the chefs discouraged. Even before the CU I lived on chef goods because doing the whole doc buff routine was just too limiteing and dependant for me. Food didnt make me as 'uber' as your average day composite clone but I was more versatile and long lasting as long as I was stocked up with some munchies.
I've already stocked up some with the new foods and bradny is still nice to have around and works well with Center of Being. You keep cookin and I'l keep eatin. By the way, is there a new food chart out that is current? The web link onein the stickys doesnt seem to have everything and I don't use xls.

Singles didn;t convert right, and crate display the wrong stats.
Pull a item from its crate to see its real stats.

I agree with Sativa too... I took my TKM/Master Docout with some of my foods and those foods kept me alive, not the doc buff. I feel screwed on Doc but not on Chef.
I got an extra 1000 to my ham bar with food and a buff and it made alittle bit of a difference. The onlychange I currently see is the money, our prices will eventually have to go down some, which is fine cause so will everything else. The only reason I say this is, Missions are now like 10x's harder to do, you generally need a really large group to do ones that pay well and the payout hasn't increased. So for the combat people who are the ones who buy our foods, they won't be raking in so much money... to spend 200k on a case of food.
Truly it seems that we are needed more than ever. Even none chefs are investigating foods to see what they can use.
Like what was previously said, now is the time to start learning to make other foods if you have confined yourself all this time to just a few favorites.
I already have acustomer base as I am known to make little known foods that really have aided players.
I intend to send my customers and guild a guide to food very shortly. Good business skills ![]()
