I got this in an in-game email from someone I've never met:

"Hey chef. I looked at your crates but I'm not going to buy any. My friend is a holochef and he says he can make WAY better foods than you."

I didn't respond. The next day from the same guy:

"My friend already gave up chef for dancer lol. Can you bring those crates to my house near Theed? Here's the wp. I made you admin. Don't steal nothing lol."

This guy just cracked me up so I thought I'd share. I had to resist the temptation to go to his house and steal everything.

I love

"What good food do you have for sale?" or "Whats the best food you have?"

I usually reply "It all sucks it will give you bad gas sorry"

lmao

But I can agree with the 'What is your best food' random tell. Or how about 'Hi'... then after 5 minutes I respond with
'Did you want something?'
'Can you tell me what your best food is?'

"What is your best food?"

"Bantha Butter"

"Really? I've never heard of it."

"That's because it is pretty rare due to the rarity of the resources, and the difficulty it takes to make it."

"What kind of resources does it take?"

"Roughly 20 domesticated milk, 5 organic, and a krayt pearl"

At this point I hear nothing for 5 minutes...

"What are the stats?"

What a jerk!

Reminds me of the guy who started shooting me while I was AFK. I came back and beat the hell out of him. Then he begged me to play in the cantina to heal his mind wounds. rofl.

My favorite are those ignorant or inconsiderate people that come to your vendor and find Fishak is sold out. (a full run is gone in 6 hours or less on my vendor). Then they ask for a custom order and for me to bring it to them. Hmmm, no custom orders since I can't keep 19 crates for more than 6 hours and I don't care if you order 2million in food I don't deliver. This has happened at least 6 times now, the person then asks me to make a schematic.

That has to be my biggest pet peeve. You want me to make you a schematic of my best selling food which is also a master lvl product. When was the last time you went to a weaponsmith and asked him for a schematic for a republic blaster? At this point they then want me to educate them on the resources needed and how to make it!!!!????

Anyone else ever get these nightmare tells from the fools of their server?

People really have no clue. I get people asking me to make them fishak or BOH at starports all the time.

It would be real nice to carry a factory in my pocket, but currently I cant!

I just hate the tells that say "Got any good food on you", and most of these people literally want to know if i have food in my inventory. I dont know about you guys, but everything I got goes onto the vendor, I just dont happen to have 40 crates sitting in my inventory.\

"Got any good food" doesnt even mean anything, I have lots of good food, doesnt mean you'll want it.

I also remember "Id like 3 crates of 50 instead of 6 crates of 25" "We cant do crates of 50 only 25" "But why we doctors get crates of 50?". Argh thank you for reminding me of this. Heres a knife i made with my novice artisan skill. Please stab me in the back some more. Wait ask me for an uber combat droid.

Whats happening is that people are learning about chef buffs. And they arent educated. But of course common sense would be customers saying "Ok im new to buying food. Im a carbineer what do you recommend". Instead of "Are youa master chef" when im wearing that as my title. "No sorry the game is broken. Really im a master bounty hunter are you a jedi?"

I get those people from time to time also...I used to pack 2-3 crates of the best sellers on me...but once I put the third vendor up I had to stop...could never keep it in supply. Now the only time I sell directly, is when running from one city to another to stock the vendor.

Usually, if they ask a dumb question, I brush it off and try to answer sincerely...but usually the conversation turns sour when I tell them that fishak will cost them say...60k for a crate...heh then they ask why so much...my usual response is, "I could spend the time explaining to you why I charge what I charge, its not a complex formula regarding resources, skill level, market value, etc, however it would take up valuable time and when I was done, the crate would be 75k." Ironically enough, the personusuallyresponds that he doesn't need to know and would like to buy.

I love interacting with customers and do so daily...but once in a while you just have to smack someone down to help them uncover the common sense they've been hiding.
