Thread: Overpriced?
sorry about that...
someone wants me to pay 95k fora crate of 25 fishak 5 uses a pop.
im no chef, but i think thats overpriced
umm thanks for the GREAT answer.
ive never bought fishak in bulk before and would like to know if this price is fair. youre not helping
That does seem over price.
a lot of chefs use this page: http://www.ralloszek.net/swg/ChefPricing.htm
Says a good price is 37,000 or about that.
I don't know, can ya find it cheaper?
I'm a chef, I think its overpriced. You wanna look for something around 40k, be sure to check the quality, and uses as well.
ok thanks, ill be sure to check those stats too.
heh, i used to be a chef back at launch, but only did bartending for the sunburns of course. good times

While I am over 40K, I agree 95K seemsa bit overpriced. However as people have said, there are factors such as supply and demand and quality and such involved. Maybe he used expensive rare resources to make the best fishnak in your galaxy or maybe the last umpteen shifts sucked so he paid a pretty penny for good stuff. Maybe he's a jerk. maybe he doesn't like you...who knows the resons for the price, but you have to ask yourself...will you derive 95K worth of benefit from it? if not, don't buy. I personally cannot see 95K worth of benefit from it.
Without knowing the buff size and the state of your server's economy...its hard to actually give a good opinion. On my server, a sub 500 buff, 5 use crate of fishak would probably go for 30ish k...at least that iswhat I would sell it for...If the buff is over 500 and 5 use, I would sell for 40ish k...
Fact is, if you are worried, look elsewhere...there has to be more than one chef vendor on your server...if not...then that fishak is worth whatever he is charging. Supply and demand are the key...but so is consumer confidence...
i don't understand these prices. i'm making angerian for 15k a crate (7 uses). i have harvesters for ressources and my guild give me some energy. i earn money (4000 cr per crate).
so i don't understand people who sell 60 / 70 or 80k !!! a crate
if you can explain how you can reach these prices
thx

I think 80k+ is a little high - but like others have said before - dont have enough information on the stats and such. I know BoH crates sell for 80kish on Kettemoor....its all in what you are willing to spend.
Break it down into price per charge/use.... then compare it to a weapon power up ...thats the best way I am able to get my customers to see my pricing strategy.Elite combat professionsdont blink twice about paying 150-300 credits per weapon power-ups - especially the good stuff. As a master elite combat profession you hit anywhere from 1 -3 times a second - making a power good for about 100-300 seconds of combat. But when it comes time to spendrelatively the same amount of moneyper use/charge onfood and drink - that on average lasts for much longer - some balk.
Sorry went a little astray - bottom line if it sells for that price - then someone thinks its worth it.
