Hello fellow chefs, after being a master chef for a couple of weeks, I'm just about ready to have my grand opening and would like your opinion on prices. All of my good are BE enhanced (ie. brandy over 400+ 40m+). I'm going to keep the following items stocked:
- Vas Brandy
- Ahrisa
- Canape
- Bivoli
- Synthsteak
What would charge by the crate? Individual? Stacks of 5-10?
Thanks for the advice.

As everyone will tell you, the prices are server specific. Only chefs on your own server can really give you specifics for your economy. Other chefs from other servers can give you ball park ranges but it's not an exact comparison as each server has it's own economy. Take it for what it's worth, but here's my general pricing, also dependant upon quality of product too:
Brandy - (+413/43.5m/50%/18uses) 200K per crate, 9K individual, partials Number of bottles) * 9K
Ahrisa - I haven't made any yet but I was told by a well known chef on my server around 150K
Canape - (+681/11m/33%/6uses) 150K per crate
Bivoli - (+24/3use) 125K per crate
Synthsteak - Same as Ahrisa but was told around 125K or so.
Hope this helps...

My priceing is based off of the regular food prices. Which would be 40k/30k/35k/50k/25k in the order you listed.
Then add 40k/50k/ or 60k on top of that depending on the additive used. I'll usually add 5-15k on that until I got to a point where I wasn't selling out too fast.
However, as I found out a few nights ago, I am charging under 50% of the price of many chefs I looked at on Eclipse. I don't have a clue if they are selling stuff or not, all I can go by is what they charge. Canape for instance ranged from 80k to 225k per crate. Ahrisa was 80k to 175k a crate. There is nothing wrong with charging that, as I would assume some chefs are amazed at some of my prices as well.

Cool that's about in line with what I was going to charge. Anyone else have any input?

Pricing is extremely server specific but the rule I use is to triple the cost of the BE tissues. I used to pay 20k for micro's, 30k for mediums and 40k for heavies so except for a few hard to make items, my per crate prices are 60k, 90k and 120k. These prices have worked out extremely well although in some cases (i.e. Brandy for 90k) I end up being unnecessarily cheap!

If I could find tissues for 20/30/40k I would actually be able to give up BE and do something else with those skills.

I hear you Amandil. My guildies all **edit** about how expensive my stuff is. I always tell them, " I'm a 10 point wookiee chef, and my prices are less than average for the server." I'm considering doing the BE route myself.

On bria alone I have seen 12 point chef brandy with near identical stats sell for 75k-265k a crate .... and that is the same server with the same experimentation points and very near the same stats.

I am in total agreement on the doc. buffs. I can make a mil. to a mil and a half in one buff. Well worth the 15k. As far as Chef biz I agree that the prices are server dependant. I recommend shopping other chefs and comparing quality and price. And basing yours off of that. It is also good to know your break even point per crate. I am on Bria and taking Brandy for instace my break even point is 50-55k a crate. Everything after that is profit. I hope this helps you in figuring out your prices. Good lucking in your endeavor!

I do find it funny though that I see posts all the time complaining about doc buffs going up in price. Then most of the same people have no issue coming to my shop and dropping 200-500k on food.

I've always thought that doc buffs are WAY under priced. By "WAY" I mean by a factor of 7-10.
Nothing makes me sicker than seeing somebody complaining a doc buff line about how the doc is charging 15k. Without a doc buff, what the complainer seeks to do would not be possible. A doc buff lasts three hours -- earning 30+k takes 5 minutes on a single Janta mission on Dantooine.
I hate whiners.
