Thread: Pet food crates??
Just wondered what you all are selling for pet food. I was using bofa treats as they are cheap to make and thus cheap for the buyer, but net good profit. I get many sales a day, but didn't know if there is a better food to use that will last longer in pets. Thx

I sell crates of bofa treats... i mean look at the name... bofa treas just screams "PET FOOD" in neon. I rename them to "Pet Food" or "Krill Treat Pet Food" just so people know what to expect. =)
Each stack right now with mediocre cereal has 7 uses - 175 uses per crate. It's probably one of the lower cost resource per charge foods available to us and as they require only cereal, they are very easy to make.
I charge 10 cr a use, ie 1750 for the 1 inventory crate.
I haven't had any complaints so far and these have sold steadily.

Eek

I charge 31c a treat with my current 7stacks ( 175 in a crate) selling for 5500 a crate. Most CH come in and buy 3-5 crates a day. I restock daily

Lol, maybe I'll have to end my introductory discount.... though at 10 cr each charge that's 9+ cr per resource which is pretty good already. And I'm using pretty junky resources.
31c a treat!? My my, those CH pets must be hungry. I don'tknock your pricing -if you can sell it, more power to you. I have 4 area neighbors who compete so I need to price mine accordingly.
Some numbers:
Bofa treat: 11 resources. My master artisan can make in stacks of 9-10.
Almond-Kwewu Crisp Munchies: 10 resources. At cooking IV I can make in stacks of 12.
Stewed Gwouch: 50 resources, also possible to make in stacks of 12.
Bofa treats or the munchies are clearly the winner. I chose munchies since it has larger stack sizes, uses one fewer resource, and because I have a decent stockpile of meat. The only reason I can see making gwouch is if you're going for the experience, but if you're making in a factory you're hardly getting any experience and it's not worth it in my opinion.
I also think it's worth charging a decent amount for the resources, as to get to a stack of 12 you need pretty high quality resources.
So it doesn't matter the decay in this case? some people ask me for it they say the food lasts longer?
Any toughts?
