Thread: Bugged food stacks?

Since the most recent patch, myself and my clients have had problems with food stacks not being useable anymore, even though charges are still shown to remain. This happens sometimes after 1 use of the stack, sometimes after several. Has anyone else experienced this, or know of a solution to fix it? It seems to only occur with food made before the patch, but I can't be certain of that.

Any input, suggestions, or comments would be appreciated.

does it give you any message? or do you just not see the effects of the food?

I'll check it out tonight.

Try this:

Go to a house where you have admin rights

drop food/drink stack on the floor

target food/drink stack

type /eat

stackshould now work properly from then on

I'm having a lot more reports of this happening also. Never had this happen to me before the factory fix.

It also seems to have something to do with the Item creator field in the examine screen being blank.. but the fix I stated still works.

Couple questions for Martyn...

Ihave had the understanding that you couldn't drop drinks in your house and pick them up again...it was on swgcraft.com once upon a time, this is not a problem?

Is is just the ritual of doing this that unlocks the stack? What if you're full? You have to lose a charge to this process and actually eat/drink?

In all honesty, this problem pretty much horrifies me.Having crates of food behave this way is no fun. It makes me feel lousy when a customer reports it and I hope they address it and get it fixed quickly.

I had one item left of a stack, made pre-patch, that I was unable to eat. There was no message when I clicked eat... it just did nothing. I could examine it, destroy it, but not eat it. That was last night.

Today I tried eating some food in a stack that I had started eating last night, but never finished. I was unable to eat from that stack. Same problem as last night.

It seems that food stacks are definitely buggered and I hope there is a fix because moving it in inventory doesn't fix it and I would hate to have to run all the way to my home just to drop and and eat it

I've had it happen to me and at least 2 customers (all pre-patch food so far). I will try the workaround above, just trying to keep this highlighted as a major issue.
