Thread: So how will 30min change the foodmarket?
So we are reduced to 30 minutes now instead of 45. This means alot to what food will be more attractive, and it changes a bit how food is created.
Personally, as an 11pt chef I can now max-out on effect on Brandy instead of the timer, since I will be past 30min even at no experimentation at all.
But here are a few things I thought about:
Many things can now be taken non-stop.
Won-Won, Kiwik-Clusjo Swirl, Vagnerian Canape...Non-stop vercupti. Timer 7:30 and 50 filling. Jedi Healer's may love that. If its even possible ofcourse.
Garrmorrl is now finally useful as a non-stop grinding drink.
Drinking the Iced-Tea I know on our server. every 2:24min, will result in a +1628 bonus to mind after 55min.
Any other ideas?

I tried maxing filling and It only dropped a few points, from 49 to 44 filling. I didn't think that would such an appealing change, such a small number.
I might stick one point in quantity, for 21 use, and keep the duration around 40 minutes or so still.

Wouldn't 50-filling vercupti still take 15 minutes to digest?

Yes, but if you eat one, in the duration the filling would go down to 25%, then you eat your second and the filling is at 75%, then after thats gone you eat your 3rd filling you right up.
So as sciguy said, you can have 3 in a row. Assuming you eat nothing else.
Personally i'm going to be experimenting with low filling ahrisa. It starts at over the 30m, and at 25 fill with the same full power it could become a even nicer seller.
Also this may make a market for more drinks being bought, who knows.
- Digestion Time = Filling * 30m / 100. This is the time required for the filling from a single dose to digest away.
- Doses per stomach = 100 / Filling. This is how many doses of a given food you can take at once before becoming full. This is only useful for stat buffs, since those are the only food effects that can be stacked.
- Duration/Digestion ratio = Buff Duration / Digestion Time. This gives an indication on whether a single dose can be rebuffed immediately.
- If Du/Di is less than 1, filling from a dose will still be in the stomach after the buff wears off. You may have enough stomach space empty to take another dose, but eventually you will be too full to take another.
- If it's exactly 1, than the buff wears off just as the filling goes away.
- If it's greater than 1, the filling wears off before the buff.
- If Du/Di >=1, then you can keep a given buff constantly, eating another dose immediately after the buff wears off without a long-term increase in stomach filling. This can be especially important for skill buffs, since you can't stack those
- If Du/Di = Doses per Stomach, then you can fill up completely on a food, and be empty again just as the buff wears off.
- If Du/Di > Doses per Stomach, then you can fill up completely on a food, and be empty again before the buff wears off. This can allow for "power stacking" of a buff, getting the benefit of more doses above the Doses per Stomach limit. The larger the differencebetween Du/Diand Doses per Stomach, the more stacking can be done. I think it works out like this:
- Number of doses "power stacked" = Doses per Stomach + ( Du / Di - Doses Per Stomach) * (100 / Filling).
- So a 45m duration 50 fill Brandy could not be power stacked with a 45m digestion time.
- With a 30m digestion time, you can power stack 4 doses.
- Power stacking is not maintainable over the long term (you will eventually be too full to stack another buff), but does give maximum buffage.
I'm sure there's probably other details (such as timing re-buffs to maintain a high buff value), but I just wanted to throw those out.

I think he means a single serving would be non-stop if the duration is over 7m30s. At 50 fill it takes 15mins to digest, so pop 1, then pop another the end of that one. By the end of the second one 15mins has passed and you could then take a 3rd etc etc.
It won't quite be non-stop, becuase you're going to have "leftover" filling after each dose wears off.
0m: empty stomach, pop a 50 fill Vercupti going to 50% full.
7m30s: first Vercupti wears off, stomach at 25% full, pop another Vercupti going to 75% full.
15m: second Vercupti wears off, filling from first vercupti gone, but still have 50% filling to digestfrom the second. Pop a third Vercupti, going to 100% full.
22m30s: Third Vercupti wears off, stomach at 75% full. You can't take another hit for another 7m30s.
From that point, you can take another Vercupti every 15m, but for half of that time you'll be unbuffed.
Well, it's up on Testcenter now. Based on recent history, it'll probably go to Live in a week or two. Although there are a lot of other changes in that publish (GCW and TEF updates, group looting changes, new Player Event tools), so a major problem in any of those could delay it.

Sorry, I'm a bit behind... when is this change taking place?
