out of pure curiosity, what is the best brandy you all have made? somebody told me the best they saw was +438, i'm curious if there has been better.

I currently only make the longer duration (44 - 46 minutes) with the BSN additive (I get roughly 367-400 - not the best resources). I can barely keep it in stock.

I make brandy pretty much identical to Mesk, +412 46m 50 fill 21 per, but there is a chef on my server that posts his +430 43m 18 per stuff for 275k in giant bold letters on the forums and everyone drools all over it like it's godly. I think best is really in the eye of the beholder.

Ive made some 435, but I really like my current stock of 415 for 46 min 49% fill and 21 uses I think its a very well rounded brandy

I won't use brandy unless its 45m now, I've been caught too many times in the Geo cave needing a second brandy and having to wait for it. So anything that sacrifices 45m for an additional 10-15points is not worth it to me.
My personal stock is +424/46m that I made for my swordsman, but the addatives could have been a point or two higher, so there is probably better out there.

*sigh* okie - so now I pose this to you on behald of allthose 11 point chefs... (or atleast this 11 point chef with the best resources she can get her hands on)...the story is is that I can't get my buff over 400 if i have to experiment the duration to 45 minutes. I'm either waiting for that elusive amazing success or waiting to win 10 or less auctions to get that additional 12th xp point.
So would you buy a +398 brandy with a duration of 45 minutes and 18 uses? I have some of this and it's like it has cooties all over it cuz NO ONE will buy it. But they'll buy the +400 for 42 minutes and18 uses. Hmmm...please share your findings with your community. The best brandy is DEFINTIELY in the eye of the beholder...just wish the beholder could see better.

Well you have 2 options if you can't hit +400. The first one, be willing to waste half a crate or so until you get that amazing success you need. The second one is just make +425 or so and don't worry about it. I had good success selling +398 46m 21 per when I made it, but that was very early after the revamp. The sad truth to use my earlier example is, most people see a crate of brandy that offers 4% higher buff as far better than a crate that will last you 25% longer. I guess the right thing to do is just sell people what they want... high effectiveness brandy. I just can't get that through my thick head though, and I keep making it the other way.

Mine is 411+ 41 mins, 21 uses and that's not using very high PE berries, they just have good flavor, but the brandy still sells pretty good.

My best has been +430, 45m 0s, 49 fill, 21 use or +418 47m 0s, 49 fill, 21 use.

Anyway, I believe he does it with insanely high quality BE tissues (he has like three toons, one a BE, and he almost single-handedly created meat-price inflation on Kette.) Because I know he doesn't have better resources than I do, or you do Akiko' - he's just not been a chef as long.
I admit, I'm lazy and pressed for time, so I don't experiment 384723875 times to get 12 amazings. I think the best stuff on my vendor atm is +414 46m 18. The difference between an extra +15 buff per brandy isn't enough to puff over, or pay 50k+ more for, in my mind.

My last run was.. +436 46.5m 21use and +413 47m 21use
Using +88 and +87 BE Adds
I have made +439 46m 21use 49Fill as my personal best to date.

Well I just got Master Chef a couple days ago, and my very first Brandy i made was +412 for 38 mins 18 use. Not bad for a very first brandy ever methinks. Just need to get that duration up now.

maybe this is more a question for the BE forums, but my be is working with really good quality materials, and still can't seem to get much past +73 on his additives....and he's a master too.....anybody know why?
and thanks for all your posts, helps out a lot
