Thread: Chef in the CU: Top 3 Questions.

I'll be taking questions till monday, then along with my own concerns i'll post them here to see if you agree, then take them to the devs.
My top 3.
1) Is the non stacking of HAM food buffs intentional? Even different foods that buff the same stats cannot be overlapped. This kills our sales viablilty and also the customer choice
2) Some Event triggered foods such as Synthsteak and Ormacheck now have durations in seconds, rather than number of events. Synthsteak for example now lasts for 36 seconds, instead of 36 hits. Is this intentional?
3) Alot of foods have overlapping or very similar stats. Thakitillo and Citros Snow cake both have the same stat buffs, this does not seem right. Also some of the most of the HAM buffs are just slight variations, making them too similar to define them of a purpose.
1.) Why doesnt Food stack
2.) Why cant we Exp all bonuses / Why is there a artifical cap (Action Regen, Time)
3.) Im thinking on a third, but that sums up my feelings.

Ditto - this is my #1 But if it IS intentional I think we need to then ask that they change certain foods to take out the useless +50 bonuses

Also my #2 but I would also like the very short duration on certain drinks brought up (the ones with around a minute timers). And as a side note if they fix the duration will pre-CU foods/drinks be fixed? I know they've gone back and fixed items for other professions before, I don't see why they couldn't for us as well.

I'm not sure about a number 3. This seems like a good question except I think we really already have the answer- they've simplified things so much that there has to be overlapping foods because there's not that many things to put them to use as.
Bofa treats / blob candy and spiced tea
they all have high duration of 45minutes with low fill and bofa for health regen, blob candy for action regen and spiced tea for mind regen with nice effectiveness stats
These are artisan foods and not chef, these will be some of the more popular foods and it concerns me that the actual chef foods appear to mostly do the same things, they dont stack and the duration on 90% of them is under 8 minutes, excluding ahrisa which after exp had a duration of 19minutes.

Sounds good to me too, 1 isa good question, and if they are not meant to be stacked, 2 is good too, but some of the foods need to have duration looked at. Deut-pyro, 200 Acc for 45 seconds? 3 Lets get some variation. How about a Ranged Speed Drink? If they need someting to vary them too, why not some profession specific drinks? 15 Carbine Attack speed for 10 mins 50 fill? I would buy that drink or food.
Ooops, Maybe I have 4 Did I miss it or are we NOT supposed to be able to experiment on the "other" stats. Brandy is 430/200/50 or whatever. I think we should be able to bring the other stats up as well on multi HAM drinks/foods.
* The stacking is a given
* Will there be a re-balancing of filling based on new food durations? Or some re-evaluation of how the stomach works (or if its needed) in a world where stacking is the determining factor in limiting how much one can consume / keeping balance in the system
* What's the deal with duration on synthsteak / flameout / etc.
1: is chef gonna stay useless like in moment?
2:if 1 yes will chef get respecc?
3:will timer on foods drinks stay low like in moment?
4:why didnt removed hole chef profession?
I'm as upset at some of the changes as anyone, but that attitude won't get us anyway.
Great Idea *crosses finger and toes*
Here's my top 3:
1) Stacking -- have a lot of customers asking about that
2) Increased time. -- I'm beginning to understand that the CU was for PVP and the timer on foods is in direct corrilation to this really a quck buff is great when you are fighting against another player, but some of us(me) don't pvp and I would love to see higher times on some foos atleast for PVEers

1) Duration seems really off the mark. 9 min brandy? Who will buy it? And it gives the same regen as canape which lasts 13 min?
2) This is more a comment than a question. I hope they intend to make canape and brandy the foods most peeps will want/need as before asost of us Chefs have spent lots of time and credits accumulating good fruit and berries to make it.
