Wondering if anyone out there is a truely dedicated chef and not a holo hunter.

Be at peace nikii. Have another Sunburn and enjoy the New Year.

There are quite a few of us that are "devoted" to chef. Most of the Masters are in /tell hell so are not often seen.

Novices like myself are soo busy trying to get our resource harvesting to where it needs to be, we're not often seen either.

Read some of the bigger threads for the signatures. There are chef's out there, but we're in the kitchens!

Why wouldn't there be any dedicated chefs? Ok, it's a crafting profession, which definitely doesn't appeal to the "go find interesting creatures/people and blow them up" players, and the usefulness of food/drinks is still a mystery to some people, and a lot of recipes are pointless or uncraftable, and the grind to get to master is a little daunting....

Ok, I need to stop depressing myself. Yes, I'm a dedicated chef, have been for a few months now. Made master...wow, not much over a month ago. It seems like I've had my factories churning out Angerian for longer than that.

You aren't allowed to count the times you were dreaming about fishnak because all your customers were driving you crazy for it.

Personally, i've had so much fun as a chef, my chef started out as an alt for my master doc/master combat medic but over time, she's more or less become an alt to my chef.

One of the interesting things about the holos in this game is that if someone is really wanting to become a jedi, there are certain professions that they must master that they probably would have never thought of trying before the holo said to. Yes, I am a holochef (my 1st holo profession) and before this, I was always a combatant. I never wanted to be an artisan / crafter of any kind. But interestingly enough, now that I'm here in this profession, I really enjoy it, and I plan on keeping it for awhile even after I make master.

So please don't think that I or others like me are not REAL chefs just because we entered the profession because of a holo. A holoTKM can kick your ass just as bad as a non-holoTKM. Likewise, a holochef can be just as good as a non-holochef. True there are some who will grind, get the master title and move on to the next one, but not all are like that. So give us holochefs a break ... any of you who become holopistoleers won't get a bunch of flak from me.

And if you don't think that a holochef can be a REAL chef ... I challenge you to a cooking contest.

Working on it. I"m a MDE as a primary profession and the guild I'm in has a master crafter of every profession less Chef. So I'm gonna get chef and with the new stuff coming in the patch I'm excited about becoming a chef.

If you read a few threads in this forum, you'd see that many of us love chef and hate holo-grinding
