Nope, don't have a better source of base stats. SciguyCo rules. I only brought it up because I have a feeling some of those base stats might be changing, especially after the experimentation changes go in. But it is the best we have.

Truly wonderfull!

It actually got me calculating how much it really costs me to make certain foods/drinks.

Great!

Bhilbo, I like this sheet. Thanks for the work

Can I request a way to make the "factory cost per item" link to the type of item you have selected in the drop down menu? cause my factory costs vary depending on the number of seconds/item i.e. the complexity of the schematic and on the fact that I have effeciency IV in merchant that drops my rent 80%.

How hard would that be to add in?

Kanali wafers will always cost the same to make, that number may change, but all kanali wafers I make will cost that number in factory time.

40cr/hr * 1hr/60min. * 1min/60sec = total credits/sec to run my tiny food factory with efficiency 4.

my widgets are 40 sec per item in the box so: (40sec/1widget) * (credits/sec from previous answer) = credits per unit

That number will work for any widget that takes 40 sec per in the factory.

So it there a way in excel to link the drop down to a number that changes the 40sec/unit to 24 or 48, or 32 or whatever depending on (and linked to) whatever food/drink you choose?

Then make the factory cost per item tied to the final credits/unit outcome and it will change automatically when you pick a new item.

The resources you'll still have to put in by hand unless someone wants to make a program to read your purchase emails for resource prices No wonder I'm not a programmer.

Thanks again.

BTW, your carmalized Pkneb comes up with0 forbase stats.

Yes, that's possible and a very good idea. Any suggestions on where I might find out these figures? I'd need to know complexity for each item and how that translates into factory production time. With those two things I should have most of the data I need for the factory calc.

Thanks, on it!

On a related note, I'll be updating this a ton at first, and as much as it needs to be updated as new changes come through. I'll probably start a new thread for that so the link in the first post doesn't have to change with each revision.

Well, the food chart I did that you took the info from (wow, I never realized it'd get this much use) has a "complexity" column for each food, you'll probably have to scroll a bit to the right to see it, though. The factory time for an item is 8seconds * complexity. So BoH has a complexity of 15, each stack takes 120s to finish. Carbosyrup has a complexity of 3, so it takes 24s. So the factory "cost" would be:

50 credits/hr * complexity * 8s*(1 hr /3600s )
50 power/hr * complexity * 8s*(1 hr /3600s )

This might need a power cpu box, although at least for most vendors I've seen it does tend to work out to 1 credit per "power unit" (which takes PE into consideration).

This probably won't work out to a lot (it's like 1/10th of a credit per complexity), although if you also added a "cost per crate" box it'd probably be noticebale there.

Did I mention this is one of the coolest things I've seen? I've spent a lot of time just playing with numbers, and it's making me consider dropping my BoH prices.

Oh, one more thing. You're adding the "Factory cost" twice, it's included in the SUM(), and you add that cell after the sum.

I think if I have the merchant skill efficiency 4 than my factory only costs 40 cr. per hour instead of 50. Unless I'm mistaken and that is only for housing... not really sure as I'm only a part-time merchant. so a set 50 * complexity * 8 * (1 hour/3600sec) would be inaccurate for me. Maybe I'm the only chef whom this effects?

Makean additional toggle for the efficiency 4 skill that changes that number.

I know there's a good lot management tool posted on the merchant forum that uses this and it's an excell sheet too. You might get in touch with that author for tips in excell, cause I am limited to reading my excell manual and you can do that on your own without my help. Here's the link:

Hey Chefs, I just made a spreadsheet that helps you calculate costs for food production, and compares your product with the base stats. Give it a whirl.

Here's a screenshot, though it's bigger than the actual spreadsheet file, so you might want to just find out for yourself:

Here's the actual file:

And here's a 16K zip for you dial-uppers:
