I've been watching the commercials all day. I wonder how it's going to stack up against its Japanese counterpart. Those terrible dubbed English voiceovers will be very much missed!

Right now Iron Chef America's chefs are facing off against the orginal Iron Chef's chefs.

i love alton brown. but bobby flay and wolfgang puck do not deserve to be iron chefs..... and there is no way that bobby flay could beat Sakai who beat Pierre (was the best chef in the world). I think iron chef america is rigged and their choice of judges is completly stuipd, that guy from the surpranos (sp?) was the most rediculous judge i have ever seen and is obviously not a foodie if he doesn't like or appreciate sushi/sashmi. BTW i'm a cook in real life so i'm a big foodie and get very technical about this stuff. I miss the honorable Iron Chef Japan.

Well to tell you how ridiculous it can be Shatner plays the Chairman of the orignal run as well. And one of the rejects from Hollywood Squares is a judge. It was awful. Maybe the new one will work out better we'll see. But the bad dubbing. The use of weird ingredients that either look disgusting or arent dead yet. Plus the constant "Fuku-san"'s cant be duplicated.
How is this not Offtopic? Easy Iron Chef is a title for our profession

/cry... i wish they would just translate more episodes of iron chef japan... fuik-son, sigh i'll miss that, even alton brown (i think he needs to just stick to good eats though) can't replicate something as classic as that.... AND OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THE ORGINAL iron chef america with chatner .... that was like an embarresment to cooks all around the world.
