Thread: What are average prices on your server?

On Bria prices seem to be all messed up lately. I think its the biggest server, with tons of money. I think just about everyone on Bria has at least a million laying around, and we have no shortage of billionares there either. The strange thing is, that our Chefs seem to be dirt cheap, I'm trying to figure out if this is just a Bria things, or on all server.

What are some of your normal prices on your servers? I know on Bria the new thing is make every crate of food, even 12 point food between say 50k-100k. Is this normal? Personally when I see +25/15Min+/3Uses bivoli going for 90k it makes me cringe.

My +25/16m/3 use goes for 200k a crate, and tbh i'd never dream of selling it for less.

I dont blame you

If the chefs on Bria are having a price war they are only hurting themselves in the long run. I myself charge what I feel is fair and reasonable for the service I provide on Tarquinas.

That service is a vendor which is always stocked with almost 300 crates of top notch food/drink.

Thats what my customers pay for.

Yea, unfortunelty on Bria we have tons of people who could care less about anyone but themselves. They try to do these price wars to ruin everyones market but thiers. It all started off with the 15k BSN crates price wars, which ruined BE, made tons of BE's quit, and really hurt the chef/Be relationship.

After that the same person that started the BE price wars, decided to switch to chef, with average prices of around 50k per crate for 12 point foods. Luckily that person moved on to ruin weaponsmith and leave Chef/Be alone ....

Now most chefs on Bria are also BE, and it is kinda a messy situation. We have tons of chefs, and most seem to battle on the boards with their prices.

*NOTE: I have not changed my prices at all, and my sales are still good. I try to just keep my vendor stocked with top quality foods, and I have tons of repeat customers.

Its the people who under charge just to screw people that really get me. Luckily on farstar there aren't that many chefs, and the ones that there is the prices are fair in relation to quality.

Mad Max Veghash (+33 Creature Harvesting, 10 Minutes, 5 Uses) - 200k a Crate

This is my menu from Starsider. The pricing/quality are 12pt Chef stuff even though I'm only 11 *wink*. But these are the "high end prices" on my server. There is more expensive of course but this is basically the standard for high quality. Except for maybe the 3 Use Canape...hehe...use some bad additives on that one.

As for price wars, we had a guy once who made 3 runs worth of 45k a crate Ahrisa that was about the same quality as my above stuff. But that didn't last for more than a day or two. People on starsider Demand highest quality possible in everything. And will pay the price for it.

In fact, our in-house weaponsmith trippled his sales when he doubled his prices...Hehe

Well to be honest the underchargers really are pretty stupid. All they are doing is creating more work for themselves. I'm mean dont get me wrong its fun to log on everyday and check your sales emails. But if your prices are to low you will sell out faster thus creating much more work for yourself.

Its better to keep prices fair and reasonable. If one chef is 50k cheaper on one item then the next thats fine. Its when gross price reductions happen the market gets screwy.

Also to mention is the fact that if you sell out to fast what can happen. If 10 customers show up to not find what they were looking for you are only hurting yourself in the long run. The low baller chefs are usually the new dummies looking to make a quick cred. They usually dont last very long.

Thats one of the reason i hate them so much, come in charge alot less, realise they can't keep up and then go ruin another prof's economy.

I have a big enough job keeping stocked as it it (150k for ahirsa, 40 sells out in days) so i can only imagine what the people who charge <100k have to do to keep stocked.

I'm on Bria. I see the low prices everyone is charging, and it's tempting to drop my prices. I pride myself on having a wide selection and a 99%-never-out stock, so I figure that's worth the extra bit of money.

Prices and customers are weird. I used to hear about 25/3 Bivoli selling for 50k for a crate of FIVE. I finally make 25/3 and put it up for a decent price, and it goes really slowly. /shrug.

I really think people get turned off by the cheap people when reseller comes along and buys the entire stock of say Brandy, then the next guy comes to find some brandy and there is none. If there is one key to chef, its keep the vendors stocked. You never want someone come expecting to see a stocked vendor, then have to look around for a new one. That is the type of things that will change your mind next time you go there again.
