Thread: Schematic Problem

I have created a macro for crafting and I have several food and chemical tools in my toolbar.

But when I adjust my macro to find pastebread, I keep getting the same items - Jawa Beer, Sopoyo or small glasses.

This happens if I change the schematic number from 00 to anywhere upto 50. The same two or three schematics.

Does anyone have any idea why this is?

Also, items like pastebread, do they need a food and chemical tool? On the info page it says "requires a generic crafting tool". Is the food and chemical tool classed as generic?

Many thanks in advance !!

What does your macro look like exactly? I don't really need the entire things, but at least the part where you call the schematic you need. I believe it should look like /selectdraftSchematic XX, I believe you need to capitalize the S of schematic for it to work corectly.

You need to use Food & Chem Crafting Tools. With Pub. 9, they changed the way crafting tools work so that the Weapon, Droid, and General Crafting tool can not be used as a generic crafting tool. ....Maybe a Generic Crafting Tool would work too then.. Not sure, but Food & Chem tools will definitely work. Basically your problem is when you use the Weapon, Droid and General tool, you only have access to the Artisan Foods.

/edit I misread your post. Sounds like you're already using the right tools. Check your syntax

My macro is fine....I have used it for artisan crafting. I am at work atm so cant post part of macro...but sure it is ok.

It has only been since publish 9 that I have had this problem....no one else?

Check my syntax? What is that?

By syntax I just meant the command lines in the macro, capitalization, etc.

I can't think of anything that would cause your problem except using the wrong crafting tool.

This may be the answer to your problem. If not it is good to know anyway.

Your macro is using a generic crafting station, not your food/chem station. The reason I think this, is that all of the schems you have that come up, are foods that can be made with artisan skills, and not ones that can be made with chef skills.

The numbers 00-whatever, refer to the first through whatever number item that THAT PARTICULAR crafting tool can make. So if you use a generic crafting tool, the other items will not come up just as they would not be available if you tried to use a generic tool to make a chef food item.

When trying to figure out what number to put into the macro, even though you might have 200 schematics, you only count the items that THAT specific tool can make. So even though something may be 10th in line, if it is the 1st item that tool can craft, it is referred to as 00 (yes 00 = number 1) in the macro.

What NYC-Dom said, plus I found that the schematic number changes whether I'm standing near a food crafting station or not. I discovered this crafting during a starport wait. I was crafting fine until a doc pulled out his droid near me then wham, wrong schematic. (Getting away from the droid fixed it.) So either always craft near a station or always don't, else your schematic will shift on you.

I just trained the first box of tier 1 and it won't let me make any of the ships that tier 1 has schems for (dunelizard, reg TIE, etc).

What's the deal with that?

You need a private crafting station like those in a Droid or House. Once you have that you are set.

You can't make schematics for chassis (and most other shipwright things) since they can't be made in factories.

Right, that's how they designed it. Frankly, I don't mind.

I guess it won't be so bad after this has been out awhile... but I can tell you being one of the first Masters on my server, I am totally over welmed and burnt out just after one day.
