Thread: Vegeparsine, Pica, Pikatta, Air Cake, Vayerbok & an Obi-wan expansion question Need Dev Response

My reasoning for, dare I say, demanding a dev response on whether or not these are working:

1. All everyone does is argue about whether or not they work.

2. Chefs have been repeatedly called con-artists and thiefs for daring to sell them.

3.Other customers swear by them and throw fits if you dare not to sell them.

4.Because the devs haven't posted here in ages and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't kill them to do so once.

Is it too much to ask? It's a big community concern (and no I don't mean just the chef community, I mean everybody) and I think it would be most appropriate to have a dev respond and say simply either:

"No, they don't work"

or

"Yes they work - this is what they do"

It's not that complicated is it?

PS There is no expansion question, I'm trying to trick the devs into reading this instead of continuing to ignore any questions that might be difficult to answer.

DEV response ? lol one just posted in the loot forums asking how CAs work.

I personally can vouch for Pikatta pie. The others I honestly cannot say if they work or not.

No, an artist posted asking how CAs work, while he was at home and couldn't check with the people in charge of the code.

But I'd like to see a stacking / intended working post from the devs on stuff, too.

Pie (and presumably Air Cake) definitely give a defense improvement (seems to provide more misses, and depending on your defense / their accuracy a damage reduction). Same with Vegeparsine / Thundercloud (although those may require a weapon swap to make the improvement "stick"). Not sure about Vayerbok, I haven't tried it.

Thing is that's the problem... people can come here and say "it works" or "it doesn't work stupid", but the point is it IS something that everybody is unsure of (even those who are sure)and I think that a little Dev insight might be helpful.

agreed .. we need a dev response ..

first off , pie is not working ..their is no 50% dodge chance ..AT ALL .. that is clear to me , and anyone else that honestlly has " tested " this ..

so its clearly not working as the stats would suggest ...we need a more accuract number from the devs ... Ive used this food on my combat char and i see ZERO increase in missses ... And i am a chef with my alt ..i have not ONE reason to lie ..

Same goes for pica and vegg ..no increase in misses , no decrease in damage taken .. imho , these foods are NOT WORKING ...their is NO WAY pie would get a 50+% dodge bonus in the current brand of swg as its WAY to overpowerd ... all itmes . armor .weps and foods all have moderte impact on the game .. nothing is overpowered . and their is no way they would allow a food this powerfull in the game ....

i agree , we need a dev response not just on these foods specifically ...but on stacking issues , these foods , foods that have borked timers ...foods that have NO use in game at all currently .. the future of our prof ...etc ...

if you read the stats on pikatta pie and aie cake..it does not say 54% (or whatever stat your using), but says dodge bonus of 54. This is NOT a % like in precurb days. Just as is vayerbok. it does help a small bit (like defenses jumping from 200 to 254, you will see a small increase in defense).

Hear, hear! The point of all my testing and all my posting was to cause enough of a ruckus to get the devs to notice and fix the broken foods.

What will we do when they say it's all worthless and we end up with pages of useless stock?

Nah, they'll just say it's based off the level...so it's like .01% bonus for a CL 80 jedi
