We had this beta, so i thought we could start it again, and make a nice little list for the devs. I enjoy the game, and chef proffesion, but find a few things where over looked in the rush to live. This are the issues i have seen, please post your top issues.

1. Missing ingredients Milk and eggs

So far i have noticed, they only drop from npc, and in small amounts. I have collected 5milk since beginning of the game, thats pretty dismal. Meaning some items will never be made like blue milk.

2.Longevity of buffs

At novice chef my charde lasted close to 5mins, but at mixology one the buffs are 2-3mins, not icreasing but decresing as we go up.

lets say joe has a mind of 400 (poor joe), so he drinks some mind buffs, and gets to 800 mind. He has to wait 20-30ecs for the bar to fill up. Goes approached the a master thief, and startes battle. During the battle joe takes 400 mind damage, leaving him with 400 left. Now two mins have past from drinking (not a longtime), his mind buff wears of, he lossed 400 mind, and is left at 1 or 0. next rifle shot kills him.

3. Stack sizes

Stack sizes decrease as we go up, correilian ale without good ingredients and exp, only stack at 1, same with det-pyro, with expermientation and good ingredients, so far i can only get a stack of 2. 3 to fill belly. Needing 2 inv spaces per 3min buff. Now haven't tried experimental quanitity on it yet. But we need to use our experminetal points on buffs right now (to keep the buffs higher than dom foods).

4. Progression of chef tree

Making novice chef, feels good but gives you no benefit over dom 4. In dom tree you had 7/8 experimental points so can make dom stuff to be very close to novice chef buffs, but dom stuff come in bigger stacks. Even mixology 1, hasn't shown any to promising. I'm sure once we get max experimental points we can start to make something good, but we shouldn't have to wait till we are close to mastering a specialilty to actually sell something.

I know droid engineers have same problem with there proffesion and mouse driods, take a while to get to lvl where people want to buy something.

5. stacks sizes for vendors

I thing we can only sell 20 items at a time at a vendor (correct me if wrong). This is alot for an arcitect, selling things at 10k each, or a weaponsmith selling things at 4-5k each. But for chefs selling things at 200 a piece. We have to be there constant;y to refresh it. One creature handler would buy out the supplies alone. Being able to sell a crate of 20 drinks, would be nice.

6. Factory stacking bug

7. Put food crafting station behind bar

This way while crafting we can roleplay a bar tender making your proffesion more social.

8. Visible emote for drinking

It would go along way to the roleplaying of chef proffesion. Being something social and partys. For strong drinks the drinker can stumble around.

Please post your top issue list.

It would be nice to know if we are ever going to get an acknowledgement from the devs that they are even aware of these problems.

You forgot to mention the fact that we get no UXP for the food made in the Chef tree. Without UXP, grinding out 32k XP at 70XP a pop is insamely slow. And the fact that you use 45 resources and only get 70XP instead of the 90 that you should be getting, and you can see that Chef's are getting the shaft all the way around. There are number of other foods that do not get the standard 2:1 XP to resource ratio.

Almost seems like they are trying to kill off the profession with the recent changes and the total inattention that they show to Chefs.

I don't know if the dev's are noticing, I have been trying to keep a thread going on the SWG discussion forums "Being a Chefis retarded" just hoping to get their attention so we can address some of our problems, it would help if more chefs started posting there since most people posting there are not chefs.

Agnius, even though its repetitive you shoudl repost this in the SWG discussion forum. I think only people who annoy the hell out of Dev's get any attention.

Number 9.

Make us more useful. I'm tired of seeing so many people talk about how they don't need food, or food is junk, it's demoralizing.

Yup, factories are useless for chefs... no one wants to waste 10 spaces in their inventory for 10 pieces of buffs. Why can't they make food stack from factories (I hope this is a bug)? I agree with all the above, it is very slow, and lots of things we can't make (or very very hard to). But you forgot one more problem: TONE DOWN foraged foods! When scouts forage 10x better things than chefs work long and hard to create, that is stupid. Foraged foods should be much worse than crafted foods, simply because it is free of charge to forage, when chef's struggle to stay even.

As for people thinking we are useless, only time will fix that. Many people don't realize we are the buffers in this game, and seriously don't know what food does. We have to educate our customers before they buy it, but I think that will change. If all the above issues are fixed... this profession will be fun.

I haven't ever seen a Dev comment on Chefs even in beta. Basically unless we start screaming louder than the other folks, I doubt we'll see any love anytime soon and we need it because we're broken. And considering that there is simply not many people in our profession, I doubt we can scream loud enough for anyone to notice us.

I have been posting like crazy on these forums and the SWG Discussion forums on chefs all day and I haven't gotten a single acknowledgement from a dev. I'd like to here something, even if it's "Frankly we don't have time to fix chef", atleast then I can stop posting.

I haven't examined foraged foods but if what you are saying is accurate than, that is just so udderly ridiculous. I'm pretty sure, if I go out in the woods right now and "Forage" for food, I will either eat something chemically intoxicating or get insanely sick. Where as if I were to stay home and cook something, I can intentionally make it healthy for me. Foraged foods should definetly have some bad side effects!
