Thread: Top ten chef problems
Oh, foraged foods do have side effects, however, I don't think side effects matter a whole lot. For instance: You're about to attack an... uhh... Ewok, so you want to buff up your health first. /forage, now eat it, get 500 extra health, then by the time the fight is over, the side effects might kick in. Basically, food are buffs, and probably will never last very long, so they will always be temporary, and thus side effects only matter a little compared to the huge amounts you can get temporarly. Does that make sense? I'm tired.
Well SirVimes, I sure hope he sticks to his word... cause that's a good idea. Chef food/drinks with much longer duration than the better, but much shorter spices. I like.

This looks like a good list. I think this thread is a good one. My bigest concern seems to be the lack of UXP. Let's stay positive and stay active till we get a response here.
I don't think we should scream or petition or anything like that though. I don't like the negativity that comes from crap like that. They (the devs) have a lot to do. We'll get their attention sooner or later. Let's be ready when we do.
<waves> Hi devs. We're waiting. :-)

1. Big issue for me right now is that the medium flora farms can't be constructed. I'll triple check today, but I've asked several architects on more than one build/day/reboot and they can't make one of the components as it just won't load into their crafting tools. I know in a way this is an architect issue, but it's us that it hits.
2. UXP is another huge one as many have mentioned. We were told we'd get xp by selling our wares, but we're only really getting it for the grind, and we all know how much that sucks.
3. Non stacking identical items. I can understand hand crafted stacks not stacking as they're all slightly different. But being unable to stack identical factory made items, or even items that were once a handmade stack and then got split (they'd be identical too) makes no sense at all and really hurts us trying to sell food.
Hey Rai,
Well, most things seem to be covered, but just incase this hasn't:
WHY ARE FORAGED FOODS AND SMUGGLERS' SPICE MORE POTENT THAN CHEF FOOD?!?!?
I spent an hour and a half bartending today in a crowded Coronet Cantina. I sold NOTHING...I wasn't annoying either. I was being very social, had several different macros, and also had several /tells. But when I told them what it did and how much it cost (175 creds), they were quickly turned away. Many of them used the "I can't afford it" excuse. It was Starshine Surprise, but I called it Protein Paradise Smoothie.
Chefs SUCK.
One thing I'd like to add to the smuggler/foraging issue....
Don't nerf them, improve us.
We all know what an atmosphere of hatred develops when one profession finds out they were nerfed cos another profession complained. If we could just be made worthwhile compared to them, rather than them be made awful compared to us, then everyone will be happy.
Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with Nova...don't nerf anybody...I think with a little bit of love we'd be a really good/fun class...
The factory totally ignores any quantity on the schematics. A schematic for 6 meatlumps, 100 run, should givce 600 meatlumps, it only gives 100 but uses the same amount of resources.
Therefor all our factory runs cost 3-10+ times the resources of other professions.
