A few different points of view I thought of as I've been wondering the same thing.

Myself(chef) I want the higher bonus as if I run out I just make more

Docs that just buff themselves - Probably want the 3 uses, as then the duration doesn't matter

Docs that buff for a living - Probably only care about total duration. Bonus is nice, but the difference between those I just can't imagine there being more than25 points of difference.

You always have exceptions to those as there are always going to be people that want the highest buff possible without care for any other mods and don't care about the price. they just want the best.

The trick is to find who buys the most. Some will settle for a different type, but if a majority want something different they might find another chef that will produce what they want.

Well from my experience, I am able to just break the 25.00 point (which I think is one of those milestone numbers) so I then put the rest of my points into duration. I haven't tried getting the extra quantity (in 2 exp points) but I think I'll try that as a test and work out duration X 2, and duration X3 to see what is the longest total duration. And that is only I can get the extra quantity in 2 exp points. 25.XX sure looks a lot healther than 24.XX for customers and myself. If you can show that I am wrong or that points assigned more into duration/quantity are better than breaking 25.00, please post. It's not a bite, I am after any data that helps me provide better food/drink to people.

As a Master Doc and occasional buffer for cash, my personal preference is power first followed by number of uses, with duration last. But that's because I only buff for a little while at a time but find myself pulling out the buff bot on numerous different occasions. However, I pride myself on always giving the best buffs I possibly can, so power rates above all else.

I just bought a crate of Bivoli +24.08, 3 per stack , 14 min duration. How much would you charge for this? Thanks.

I hate that some of the food doesn't produce many uses. With that, what do you fellow chefs think the public wants with Biv Temp?

What does the public tend to prefer?

+24.40 .. 16 minutes... 2 uses

or

+23.75 .. 14 minutes... 3 uses

Wow, 3 exp points to add 1 more use per stack.

Biv Temp is now the hot seller because of the standardization of buffs. You can now see the difference in doctor buffs while under the influence of Biv Temp. Before I was buffing for 2093.. after biv temp I was buffing for 2290 something.

I'd think if you can get the #uses up without too much of a duration hit (keeping the bonus the same), you'd come out ahead.

2 uses 16m = 32m of effect

3 uses 14m = 42m of effect

Plus you can stretch additives further. I just wish it didn't take getting Quantity above 50% to get that third use.

You for sure want the +24 for 16 min without a doubt.

I charge ~3200 a stack on +24ish bivoli, but prices vary server to server.

I really can't imagine more than a small minority of Doctors preferring the 2-use over the 3-use, assuming the same cost per stack. I could well be wrong, though(see my Havla thread )

At least on Bria, this stuff's darned expensive, and a crate of 2-use stacks is, when you get down to basics, 2/3rds of a crate of 3-use stacks. If you spend the points on duration instead of quantity, would you be looking at something like this?

2 uses at 16 min duration = 32 mins per stack
3 uses at 14min duration = 42min per stack

OK, 3 quarters then

We're lucky to have had a recent shift of VERY nice greens on Bria, still available (for aprice)in large quantities, so it only takes me 2 points to get the 3 uses per stack. I haven't honestly tried any other approach, because to me the 3 uses is a no-brainer. I can then get it up to +24.61, and I haven't had anyone turn me down at 15k per stack. But then, the market value for the raw ingredients is around 4000 per stack, so it's pretty clear our economy's way out of synch with some of the other posters

The Docs in my guild are only using these for buff's so forget the quantity and go for quality.

Well, that's all I'm selling them for. But the quantity affects the pricing, surely? I have to use the same ingredients to produce a crate of 25, regardless of the final results, and I'm 95% sure that I can sell a crate of 3-use stacks for more than a slightly higher quality crate of 2-use stacks.

Am I missing something here? Are the Docs REALLY going to pay out the same price for a crate with slightly higher boost, with 2/3 the uses?

Whether you price by stack size, quality, or a flat rate is up to you, I guarentee you it will sell regardless.

Personally, I think the +23, 3 use bivoli provides much more value assuming you charge the same amount per crate either way. But I think many players just want the best at whatever price, and will prefer the +24, 2 use.

For anyone interested, I tested the effect of several different bivolis with the same buff:

Bonus: Actual Buff
------------------
+24.84: 2440
+25.05: 2450
+25.92: 2450

So, it looks like the wound treatment bonus is truncated before being used and any experimentation that does not get you to the next whole number is wasted. I think this was a pretty good buff pack, so it also looks like about 10 points more buff per point of bivoli on the high end (lower buffs went up by 8 or 9 points).

And to get the third use you need to experiment quantity to 37%. I've hit 36% with just 2 uses before, but 37% gives 3 uses.
