Thread: Top ten chef problems
Ok here's my problem, if I'm the bartender I'm trying to sell drinks by the piece not in groups of 3 5 an 6 Can we make it so food items in quantiy can be split into individual units or sets, like most other items.

I've been thinking about a lot of these things recently. I don't mind that Chef isn't that useful... Or at least that I won't make as much money as the armorsmiths. I'm not doing this for the credits, I'm doing it because it's fun. And I like that it fits into the ingame world.
The problem I see with the way the Chef profession stands currently is that it doesn't fit into the game world well enough. I don't mind food being buffs (I guess...) there are a lot of people who simply don't want to see food become something required; they consider it too much hassle. And depending on how it was implemented I could see that being a problem.
At any rate, to my mind, there is a big problem with food buffs not being consistent. Foods which require higher levels of skill to prepare should last longer. All foods should last longer in general, but not hours imo. An hour maybe I don't know - if it lasts too long, then we also get the problem of everyone not buying food as often. At least that's how I see it. The point though is not just to increase the duration of the effect but to make it consistent based on skill, so higher skill becomes a real reward.
Creature Handlers... Ok, I'm happy someone is buying my foods - but honestly is anyone else just a little depressed at least that your foods are basically kibbles n bits?
I find this part of the Chef thing very disillusioning. Pets just don't appreciate culinary masterpieces like their owners do ![]()
I personally think cooking is fun - I like to see the different recipes, what goes in them and put them together. Why can't thefoods be fun too? Or the effectsthe foods give.Besides the idea for the ingame 'effect' of a drinking animation or such like - it'd be cool if there were other effects when one drank some of the alcoholic beverages. (The stumbling around drunk one that someone already mentionedwould be awesome actually.)I can almost just imagine someone running about town glowing because he'd swallowed a Tatooine Sunburn
Ok possibly not that exotic but it'd be cool if there some sort of colour effect or lights when one drank some of the alcoholic beverages /me shrugs. It's an idea at any rate.
Regarding foods and simply delivering them... Maybe there need to be lunchboxes in the game or something... Allow them to contain so many foods (limited) but let it only count as one slot (in your backpack/bank/etc).
