Thread: Combateers got moneynerfed big-time, please lower your prices :(

I have been playing since launch so I know a thing or two about the game. Now, about the credit nerf, even after the patch i continued to solo on Dantooine and the only difference is I get a system message that tells me "Some group members are out of range to recieve mission reward." And then I get the full payout. So truely on Mokk missions at 20k or voritor hunter missions at 24k, as a master commando it takes me about 5 minutes per lair ( I have to wait between each flame single) I can make about 1.5 - 2mil per set of buffs and typically go through only 20 charges of brandy and a crate of 5 canape.. On Corbantis where everything is priced out the yang I still only pay 300k for a crate of 25 brandy and 100k for cnape. The money is still there.
Just curious, any idea why the brandy is SO much more expensive than the canape? 100k is unheard of, being that it uses more components and a larger additive than brandy. I just had to ask.
I think I'm on the higher side of the price here, even though not overpriced yet.
But then a crate of brandy has 3 times the charges of Canape usually, since the stacksize is 18 for brandy and 6 for canape.
Also Brandy lasts longer, 45 minutes versus 10.
So in the end a one minute buff with brandy is a lot cheaper than with Canape

Running a successfull Chef (or any other elite crafting profession) requires A LOT of time, if you wanna provide well stocked vendors for your customers. So plz stop whining about Chef. If my prices are too high (200k/bivoli, 225k/brandy, 125k/ahrisa and so on), then why am i selling for 5-10 millions PR DAY?!
Tho you can get 11k missions whcih spawn about 3 things and take all of 10 secs to do.

welll not to nag or anything, but be/ranger is nice, but it doesn't kill anything (i have both , a ranger and a be myself). Killing stuff with the be's death hand (sample) is slow and won't allow you to harvest. If he rely's on you to kill stuff for him to harvest he is probably grouped, meaning he takes a 40% penalty on his harvests (thats why rangers are loners) and if it takes you 40 minutes to take out a single mission (as you stated yourself) you won't get much meat, so, still, buying meat will be very important.

I became a Chef.
I buy BE components for 30-50k.
I sell Brandy for 135k and make a nice profit. Thats less than half of what my competitors want for their brandy.
In my advertisement I list that I have Combateer-friendly prices, and i sell out pretty quick. I am in a grinding community and will put up an even cheaper vendor there.
The price chefs charge has very little to do with the cost of the resources that we use to make the stuff. Look around and you'll usually see people charging more for brandy than bivoli, when the resources that go into bivoli probably cost 75-100% more than the ones we use for brandy. Really, if we want to maximize our profits, we have very little control over our prices. The prices are a function of the demand for the product... it's as simple as that. You can complain that we charge too much, but a merchant will charge what their product is worth in the market. If we charge less than that, we'll sell out too quickly, like you're doing, and make less money per crate. If we charge more, we won't sell as quickly and make a profit slower. Whining about people's prices when most of us have trouble keeping things stocked at our current prices is just ignorant.
